To make room for the recent signings of sixth-round offensive lineman Eric Olsen and third-round receiver Eric Decker, the Broncos waived third-year linebacker Bruce Davis and rookie offensive tackle Chris Marinelli on Tuesday.
Davis was a third-round draft pick of none other than the defending Super Bowl-champion Pittsburgh Steelers in 2008 but has struggled to find a spot in the NFL. Marinelli, at 298 pounds, had been the only one of 16 Broncos offensive linemen who was not listed at least 300 pounds.
