Who would you pick to lead your franchise and why?

I say Stafford. And this is why:

Would that be "both" as in left and right on Drunk Monkey's avatar?

Just checking.

I picked Stafford. They both showed a lot of potential as rookies and should only get better. The reason I picked Stafford is because I think he has a higher ceiling. They both still have a lot to work on though.

It's kinda like Inception where the ending is open to the audience's interpretation

Not really sure yet. I need to see more of the two play and Safford play on a decent team and Sanchez without best OL in football.

I would take Matthew Stafford....I knew he would be a stud in the NFL since his freshman year at Georgia.

Put him on that Jets team last year with their offensive line and rushing attack and he would have looked more impressive than Mark Sanchez.

I liked Sanchez more than I liked Stafford coming out so I'll go with him - especially with the superior supporting cast he'll have in New York.

To be honest, I'd be surprised if either one really became that great.

Personally i'd take both over who we have

Josh Freeman. He should be in the conversation.

Josh Freeman. He should be in the conversation.

So he can garner as much attention as a third party as Ross Perot did in 92?

Well then who was better than the Jets last year?

Of course you do.....we already established why in the other thread....

LOL

So do you guys in TB think your young HC is going to be as good as this forum thinks Josh will be?

Also which evil dictator do TB fans associate your HC with?

BTW I am going with Stafford because I think he is a solid QB who won't hurt your team. Sanchez seems like he could implode at any time and hurt his team more than he helps it at times.

I think Stafford makes Detroit better whereas I think the Jets could plug a guy like Orton in there to hand off and play smart football.

Sanchez. Hands down. He's already proved he can play in the NFL. And play well.

And throw bad INT's like Plummer. The Jets have a great OL and 3 RB's that would start on 3 teams. Their D is their strength.

That said if Sanchez steps up his game in his 2nd year he could be scarry good but if I was building a team around a guy I would still take Stafford.

More love for another QB that threw 20 picks....as long as they look good throwing 'em I guess.

Well Stafford did help the Lions double their win total from the previous year.....

The fans are split pretty evenly on Raheem. The Gruden lovers hate him. I think he is a damn good D-coordinator and am excited about the upcoming season.

Is the LOL a jab at Freeman? He finished with the same exact stats as Stafford/Sanchez despite not having Calvin and the #1 running game/defense. And he won against GB and NO. I guess most people havent seen him play.

I liked Stafford out of college, but didn't get to see him play much last year. Didn't get to see Sanchez play much in college and he looked like a deer in the headlights for most of the season, but as much as I hate to say it, he was badass in the playoffs.

Sanchez.

How many did Elway throw in his first few years?

I do like Stafford's demeanor, and I think he'll be a fixture in Detroit for a while. But I think Sanchez has the skills.

Josh Freeman 291/474 (61.4%) 3,451 yds 25 tds 6 int QBR 95.9 364 rushing yds 10-6 record in 2010

Wayyy better than Stafford and Sanchez. Broncos could have had him.

Can't say too much one way or the other with Stafford, but Sanchez is turning out to be pretty much what I expected. I definitely didn't see Josh Freeman turning out to be any good. Good for him.
