Paging Dr. Broncenstein...

Sunday we went to a 4th of July party and when we got home I commented to my wife that my heel hurt a little, as if I had banged it on something (and no, I wasn't drinking)

Monday it was a little sore, then Tuesday still sore but I kept up with P90x and Tuesday was Plyo day...that was a mistake. Yesterday, I could barely walk on it and today it's worse. I am reasonably sure now that it's my achilles and I am going to the Doc tomorrow to get it looked at.

I really, really hope it's not...but I have to tell you I haven't felt pain like this in a long time if ever. I have broken things many times, torn my ankle up and this is right up there with all of it. Obviously, P90x is on the shelf for now, have any of you experienced anything like this?

I know it sounds lame but WebMD basically pointed to one of 2 things in my foot, the achilles or the plantar fascia and my pain isn't under my foot as much it is on the back/upper part of my heel.

It's probably because you're old.

Hey, you're from Aurora? My dad grew up on Christmas street in the 50s / 60s.

Could be tendinitis which can hurt more than you think. You probably just need to rub some tussin on it.

no doubt

and I was wondering about tendinitis also, I guess I will know a little more tomorrow although I am sure she will refer me to some specialist

Purple drank works great for relief of tendinitis. Email me for a hookup.

Well that's why you have two of them. Just tape it up and keep on moving. Rubbing dirt on it helps too.

I sprained my ringer finger playing football last weekend. It was getting better quickly then I worked out with it last night (no problems) and this morning it's back to swelling up and locking at the knuckle.

The tussin has not worked.

My back is constantly sore from carrying this place. Other than that, I'm good.

My 2 year old passed around a head cold this morning I woke up with my throat on fire and nose stopped up and I took some tussin and it worked.

Who knew Tussin was good for head colds also!?

Is it your achilles tendon that hurts or the bottom of your heel? Could be plantar facitis.

Doctors are over-rated. I would forgo any formal visit and just execute the recommendations of the Mane.

Our forte is medical, legal and relocation advice.

In the meantime, a hot soak in Epsom salts water might ease the pain a bit.

I have had achilles tendonitis and wife has the plantar whatever the hell it is. Glad I have the tendonitis as it is much easier to deal with.

If you have to put P90X on the shelf for awhile, you might try this: http://www.powerropes.com/

The good thing about the battling ropes is that it puts relatively little stress on your legs, while allowing you to keep your conditioning up.

You can also go with the Ronnie Lott school of thought although it may be more of hindrance than a pinkie.
