Hey hey, so I just won two tix to Modest Mouse on 104.3 the Fan today...they're for this Saturday, at the 1st bank center in Broomfield. Radar Brothers are playing with them.

I've seen modest 4 times already, and as much as I love em (i've got 10 or so albums, they were HUGE up in grand county ha), I'd rather see a broncos game. Obviously, if I can't find anybody to swap, I'll happily go...but I thought I'd give you guys a chance at em first. Haven't picked em up yet, so I don't know the face, but if you're a season ticket holder, and want to see Modest live, pm me or post here. Not a huge preference on games for me, so lemme know whatcha got

cheers and thanks,

cory

taco, if this isn't cool, lemme know

So let me get this straight...you want to exchange 2 FREE tickets for a Broncos ticket in which a season ticket holder paid for?

I just won Lady Gaga tickets, anyone willing to swap their Super Bowl ticket for them?

I have a dirty Kleenex, am willing to swap for front row seats.

I guess you can sell them on stubhub since some people don't think that they hold any value because you got them for free. Then you can use the proceeds to but Bronco tickets.

Are you trying to get in the way of mocking this guy for no good reason? Douchebag move if you ask me.

I don't see what the big deal is. Who cares if he got the concert tickets for free?

He's offering them to someone who wouldn't otherwise get to go to the concert. So instead of seeing the concert for free, he wants to see a game for free. And the person giving up their Broncos tickets would basically be paying to see Modest Mouse instead of the game. Still paying for one event, just as if they kept the game tickets.

It's still a trade of tickets for tickets regardless of how each party obtained them. What's the problem??

This place is brutal... Bronconia is seriously the nicest guy here.... By alot. If anyone gets a pass from the normal omane brutality it is him.

I'd post it on Craigslist and see if anyone is willing to swap with you, much bigger ticket holder pool over there... who knows you may get a bite.

This. How the guy obtained the tickets is completely irrelevant.

Ummm lol? Haters gonna hate I guess. I thought this was a much more "pc" route than hawking them on CL.... and actually GAINING a profit. But whatev. Be careful on those soapboxes, they're awfully tall.

Totally cool.

Plus, Modest Mouse is my favorite band, so it's especially super totally cool.

I saw these guys support REM a while back, they were excellent. I am aware this is irrelevant, but hey.

If it was just some d-bag who logged onto the site for the first time, I'd say let him have it. But for Bronconia? Dude is a quality guy here.

I love Modest Mouse. One of my all-time favorite bands. I have season tix to the Broncos, but will not get to go to any games , as I am going to be living in the Netherlands.

You're missing out on an amazing band, dude.

There's no work in walking in to fuel the talk
I would grab my shoes and then away I'd walk
Through all the stubborn beauty I start at the dawn
Until the sun had fully stopped
Never walking away from
Just a way to pull apart
Dehydrate back into minerals
A life long walk to the same exact spot

Carbon's anniversary
The parting of the sensory
Old old mystery
The parting of the sensory

Who the hell made you the boss?
We placed our chips in all the right spots
But still lost
Any ****head who had ever walked
Could take the ship and do a much finer job
This fit like clothes made out of wasps
Aw, **** it I guess I lost

The parting of the sensory
Carbon's anniversary
Just part it again if you please
Carbon's anniversary

Who the hell made you the boss
If you say what to do I know what not to stop
If you were the ship then who would ever get on
The weather changed it for the worse
And came down on us like it had been rehearsed
And like we hope, but change will surely come
And be awful for most but really good for some
I took a trip to the exact same spot
We pulled the trigger, but we forgot to cock
And every single shot

Aw, **** it I guess we lost

Some day you will die and
Somehow something's going to steal your carbon

Some day you will die and
Somehow something's going to steal your carbon

Well some day you will die somehow and
Something's going to steal your carbon

Some day you will die and
Someone's or something's will steal your carbon

Some day something will die and
Somehow you'll figure out how
Often you will die somehow and
Something going to steal your carbon

Well some day you will die somehow and
Something's going to steal your carbon

That's one of my favorite songs that they have. Even their early ecclectic stuff has totally grown on me. I love the musical composition, and Isaac Brock is a lyrical genius.

Very few albums in the last 20 years compare to this.

I've seen them many times, almost too many to count. I thought about going, but the 1stBank Center just doesn't do it form me for a band like MM. If it were the Fillmore that would be a different story.

Taco John

That is definitely a contract breaker. When someone gives you a spider pic, you expect it to have 8 legs. Putting one on now would just be a cheap thing to do.

I am going to this concert, but would rather go to a Broncos game. Anyone want to trade me my one ticket for their Broncos ticket? You also get to sit/stand next to my wife and her single friend!!!!!!! Thats worth a first level 30 yard line ticket at least!

If you had front row Lady Gaga tickets, depending on where you sold them, you probably could buy SB tickets with the proceeds.

I was just thinking that. Of all the venues that would better suit an indie like Modest Mouse - the Marquis Theater, the Gothic Theater, the Aztec Theater, the Fillmore, the Ogden, the Bluebird.... they had to go with 1st bank center. That would be my main deterrent.
