Now that would be interesting. Certainly not outside the realm of possiblity but certainly an upset at this point in their careers. I've basically given up on both so I'd welcome any production possible, but it's intriguing to have two guys you could see starting - or cut.

Not entirely sold on Jarvis Green. I must admit that I haven't seen him play that much either.

As for Thomas, I still hold out hope that his skill set as a penetrator are better used this year. Everything he does well seems to translate better to the DE position in the 3-4, although I'm not sure how stout he is stacking the running game.

This is Moss' last shot IMO. Haven't totally written him off yet as he is still transitioning to the LB position. The fluff pieces from the OTA's seem to indicate that he is adjusting to the switch and more of his athleticism is beginning to emerge. Never was to keen on the Ayers pick since he really wasn't considered a pass rusher like Moss.

As you said, both could just as easily be cut. Only time will tell.

From what I've seen of Green, solid and consistent - not spectacular. In many ways the opposite of Thomas who shows incredible flashes - but rarely. With Moss, I suppose it goes to the fact that nearly every practice I've ever seen of him he shows the talent, hell he's a monster. Then games would start and the production never came. I don't care who's getting the job done on the 53-man roster, so if it were these guys that'd be fine by me!

um.......

--By the end of the second series, we all see that Polumbus can't play on the left side any better than he could on the right side--

--By the end of the third series we all see that we don't have a running game because they're stacking the box with ten guys--

--By the end of the fourth series, we see that Orton still can't, or won't, throw the ball down the field--

But...........We still win the opener, as our defense is unbelievable, and holds them to 10 points, and our special teams are substantially improved............

Most McDaniel haters will wait to call for his firing after the first loss of the regular season and not before preseason even starts like last season.
