4 x Pro Bowler, 3 x All-Pro

The most exciting return man in the NFL for several years.

Named to 1980s All-Decade Team.

Named one of 300 best players of all time in 1998.

THE MAN DESERVES TO BE IN!!!!!!

Absolutely!!! This has always bugged me - how the broncos can complain about Randy Gradashar and others not being in the Hall of Fame while at the same time not taking care of one of their own (Upchurch in their own Ring of Fame)

Upchurch was a key player for the 1977 Super Bowl team and I agree one of the most exciting return men ever. Just because Bowlen wasn't the owner when Upchurch played is no reason to keep Rick out of the Ring of Fame.

I agree 100%.

He grew up and played high school ball a few miles away from me in NW Ohio and is one of the main reasons I started liking the Broncos in the late 70s.

I still have my Rick Upchurch Broncos jersey I had when I was a kid.

Upchurch' stats, you decide:

10,081 all purpose yards, 24 TD's.

22nd all-time in punt returns:

10th all-time in punt return yardage:

9th all-time in punt returns avg per return:

Between Bill Thompson and Rick Upchurch, the years between 1969 and 1983 Denver had one of the top punt return games in the NFL. Punt returns are a big part of the game.

I think he should be the Ring of Fame for sure. Some weeks the only time I got to see any Bronco highlights while we lived in Michigan was when Cosel would play an Upchurch return.

Another guy who I believe should be in is Riley Odoms.

He was John Ralston's first number #1 pick and proved to be an outstanding TE.

4x Pro Bowler, 2x All Pro with better numbers than HOFer Charlie Sanders of Lions.

I have a buddy who is my age, grew up here in Chicago and even he talks about what a great pass catching TE Odoms was. Odoms ledgend spans the country!

Riley Odoms made one of the best catches I have ever seen. It was a game at Oakland. Riley stretched out to catch a pass one handed and then got leveled by a Raider defensive back. Riley held onto the ball. I've seen many impressive one handed catches but none like this one.

Agree Riley deserves the Ring of Fame. HOF is a longshot (let's get Shannon in first) but if Charlie Sanders is in there Riley deserves it too.

Any video footage of him? This was kind of before my time.

Here's all you need to know about Riley Odoms. He played in the same era as HOFer Charlie Sanders . .

Sanders: 336 catches, 4,817 yards . . . 14.3 average . . . scored 31 TDs.

Odoms: 396 catches, 5,757 yards . . . . 14.5 average . . . scored 41 TDs.

And he can't even get in the Broncos Ring of Fame?!?!?!

Someone earlier said it right: we complain about our guys not getting in the Hall of Fame but here's a chance to take care of one of our own . . . Rick Upchurch and Riley Odoms . . . and the Broncos haven't done that.

I got some DVD's of the 79,80,81, 83 seasons from Atlas. But other than searching the InTErnets I dunno.

I remember he made a great catch and run in that 73 Monday Night Football game vs Raiders . . . very athletic tight end!

It's kinda shocking that Upchurch, Odoms & Fletcher are not in the RoF.
