Isnt Ed Begley Jr and Bill Nye Science guy have pretty extreme houses? I think Ed pedals his bike to make electricity. I nominate Al Gore's Tennessee mansion for most green.

You should check out some of the shipping container homes they build.

My favorite one

My dad owns a foam insulation company and I want to build a house out of containers like that using the foam.

That one is my favorite too Ro, with the bamboo house being a close second. I want one now.

It would be nice if they focused more on building actual houses. Some of those look like third grade arts and crafts projects.

I believe these are more for just testing out new technologies and seeing what can be done.

Yeah, and I see nothing wrong with some that have been done. I'd gladly take the house you liked, and the bamboo one I mentioned. Big enough for me.

I think the Bamboo house is the best. Most of those look god-awful, but the bamboo house and Ro's favorite at least look like livable homes

I love bamboo as a green material. The stuff is amazing, but a pain to work with.

I built a rowing skiff out of bamboo, and the slivers are brutal. It's amazing as a finished product, no sliver issues, but the process was a pain.

I love the shipping container house.
