No you can't resist calling people names and making threats. In 76 thousand plus posts, all those threats, yet not one time did you follow through. I'd say you are the one who gets riled easily.
The fact you get so riled you make threats you don't follow through on is a perfect example. What you are doing is flying off the handle, losing control, making threats, then later realizing how foolish and childish you are being and not doing it. Either that or maybe you are scared?
Whatever I am willing to help you if you would like to ask what I think you should do to get some help. You can do it in a PM so no one has to know.
speaking of $800,000,000 - is that a reference to the amount of money california taxpayers spend ANNUALLY to educate illegals? Because that's exactly how much the illegals steal every year in school funding in cali. boggles the mind ...

No, its so they do not grow certain crops. Its to keep the prices at a certian height.

Subsidies are not only given so certain crops are not grown. Farm subsidies are generally given for one of two reasons:
1.) To not grow any crops
2.) To make growing a particular crop economically viable (e.g. corn, feed grains and commodity grains and legumes)
In any case, it's tax money being used as a hand out to individuals and corporations. In other words, this farmer is a leech, and a hypocrite. However, that doesn't change the fact that burning his sign is wrong. Oh, and stupid. It's best to let the idiots clearly identify themselves -- for the good of society.

Yep, it's essentially welfare for farmers. You won't see me b****ing about it though, as I think it's ultimately for the greater good. What's funny is the hypocrites like you being perfectly fine with this and other corporate welfare yet screaming bloody murder about a poor inner city family getting a check to live on.
At least you're consistent with your hypocrisy.
Hey look at it this way. You're not quite as much of a moron as this farmer is. If there was a moron Olympics, he would compete for the gold medal.

Graduated with a girl who lived down the road from me in HS whose benefits from such welfare as Florida described it. Her dad gets millions not to farm land all over north and northeastern South Dakota. Silly. What'd she get for college graduation? $350,000 house on the local lake. (And that's SD price, so you can imagine if it were somewhere else.) Must be nice.

Farmers get subsidies for bad crop years (to keep their income) and for good crop years (to keep prices high). Quite the comfy arrangement.

Isn't the reason more so people will be farmers though, or not charge so much for the food people can't afford it?
To compare farmer, who the whole country needs to eat, to people taking money from welfare and not working is a reach and a total joke. In those bad crap years you would still have to eat, so a cob of corn would be 5 bucks or not available at all with no govt intervention in the market.

Agricultural subsidies do more than you think, but one aspect is that they allow a Farmer to actually overproduce-why is that good? Simply put, subsidies promote stability by protecting consumers from high prices and farmers from low prices and, ultimately, bankruptcy-it has to do with Production costs and scale, which actually lower commodity prices wihch can fluctuate wildly (and do)-the U.S. actually spends less than Europe (generally less than half)-subsidies are not just a US phenomenom.
In truth it does give Farm subsidized Countries a leg up, allowing Farmers to compete for Sales(kinda like how Japan and China subisdize Autos up to $2000.00 per Car).
Lots of good debate on this subject, and it is hard to find two people who will agree-Requiem brought up a good point, and I have Farmer's bitching to me in discussion of how bad things are, and then they drive off in a brand new Pickup, and get into a new or newer $150K+ Tractor, or a new $250K Combine-you have to manage the money you are given, but most of the guys I deal with do-remember, you asked

Subsidies aren't about making food cheaper, they are about making food more expensive so that it's economically viable for people to produce it.
Generally, the reason a subsidy exists is because the market value of the crop makes it uneconomical to grow. The reason the crop's market value is low is economics 101: the supply far exceeds the demand. Thus, the government pays the farmer to decrease the supply and prop up the market value (via a price floor).
The largest crop subsidy today is for corn. Vast tracks of farmland produce corn (partially because it's one of the few crops that a lot of farmland can produce), way more than the demand. So, there are subsidies and related legislation that prop up the demand and reduce the supply of corn. Subsidies, ethanol requirements, tariffs on imported sugar (the reason corn syrup is used as a sugar substitute), etc.
So the comparison is very valid. Instead of finding the economically sustainable job, this farmer is relying on the government to support him. It's welfare just as much as any other form.
Subsidies have outlived their original purpose, which was to prop up failing family farms during the Great Depression when a lot larger percentage (25%+) of the American population was involved in farming.

Yeah, but ConAgra and ADM love them, so don't expect them to go anywhere. The Righties love to bitch about a social welfare state, but the corporate welfare state fits them just fine.

Meh, like I said, it's hard to get people to agree on this subject, and many Politicians (and other people, especially outside of the US) would love to see them discontinued.
One thing I will say, go ahead and stop Subsidies and see what happens-there would be a major uptick in Prices, and with lower Production things would get tight pretty quick. If we want to bitch about "welfare" for Farmers, see what happens when they quit-there is too much risk, capital and uncertainly for there to not be s safety net for Agricultural producers, and while Subsidies are primarily paid for Corn, Cotton, Wheat and Soybeans, these crops produce a lot of goods (other than Food) that Americans consume and don't realize it-
