WR Marshall begins Dolphins career on sidelines; ailment unclear

Associated Press
DAVIE, Fla. -- Brandon Marshall's time with the Miami Dolphins isn't off to a sizzling start.

Wearing a new jersey and orange cap, Marshall watched his new teammates practice Wednesday. He pedaled away on an exercise bike at the end of the field, for reasons that were not immediately announced.

Miami acquired Marshall from the Denver Broncos about a month ago for a pair of second-round draft picks, then quickly got the receiver to agree on a contract extension. Marshall had 101 catches for 1,120 yards last season for Denver, including an NFL-record 21 catches for 200 yards against Indianapolis in December.

I wonder if Brandy "excused himself" from practice because of this?

Or, maybe just popped his wife in the eye real good.

ailment unclear? Really?

I diagnosed it before he set foot in Miami - IJustGotPaidIDon'tHaveToWorkAnymoreitis.

JaMarcus Russell was the last NFLer to get this, Albert Haynesworth is under a watch for it.

@Jeff_Darlington: The dreaded jersey saga lives on. Marshall says No. 19 isn't "set in stone." Sounds likely he might make another switch

Hope this doesn't effect his punting.

He choose #19 as that number can be worn by a wide receiver and a punter according to NFL league rules. BTW, did you know Jeff feagles retired last month after 22 years punting. Oldest guy in the NFL up to his retirement. Wonder if the Giants would have been in the trade talks for BM if Feagles retired a month earlier.
