By the Redskins :(!
Dude was a stud for us last year. 5 sacks, 33 tackles, and 2 forced fumbles in a 3-4 DE position. All of this on top of helping to coach the young players, play the mentor roll, and be a positive influence in the locker room.
Unfortunately in his age he proved to be a liability in the run. So while I wish he was still here, I just don't see how a spot was available for him. Unless we didn't nab Bannan.

He was only on a one year contract. It expired and we chose not to resign him. He actually wanted to retire as a Bronco. Work is work though.

First I've heard of that.

He did well for us, and I could have seen him here doing well with limited rotational duties but obviously our staff feels we're better with what we have.
Good luck to him.

It's mentioned in other places too. That's just the first link I saw on Google.

He was our best d-lineman last year.

two team in the last two years let him go when they needed help.....good guy but for a part time player, I'd rather have a younger guy.

He was replaced by Jarvis Green. Green was basically the same player for the Pats that Holliday was for us.

We didn't re-sign him and Nolan didn't get him in Miami (though to be fair, that doesn't mean he didn't want him). I would say it's a good signing for a team like the Redskins going to a 3-4 and someone we likely won't miss.
