Procter visits the Broncos
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on May 18, 2010 3:04 PM ET
Just one day after his release from the Cowboys, guard/center Cory Procter is taking a visit to Denver, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Broncos have been looking for interior line help this offseason, and Procter has plenty of experience as a four-year veteran.

Schefter writes that multiple teams have contacted Procter. (Translation: You better sign him fast Denver.)

This would provide more interior-line depth, which I'm all for.

This has to be sarcasm, right?

Two weekend practices without pads into the offseason and we're declaring our third round center a bust because we're looking at Procter?

Sarcasm....what's that?

I mean really, you can tell so much after one practice. I knew from Harris's stellar training camp/preseason 2 years ago he'd be a stud.....

Seriously? He is a rookie and this guy is a vet of 4 years. So, Walton must be a starter in his first year or it is considered a bust? What planet are you from? You better be kidding.

That bastard drafted a kid that doesn't know what in the hell he's doing after two weekends of learning the system.

Seriously, until Josh McDaniels is gone, I'm not following this team.

I heard Tebow is 4th string. We should just cut our losses. In fact, none of our rookies are starting yet. Cut them all

People get way too excited, this is OTAs you shouldn't put ANY stock at all into these things. Hell, I don't even put much into training camp, it's all about the regular season baby.

Does Dallas have a young Center they are grooming or picked or does Procter suck and we are dumpster diving for depth?

Dustin Fry is about four bags of groceries heavier, so I say it is his job to lose. He'll probably get injured playing foosball or something - so I guess you're right.

Dunno about Fry ... we're his 4th or 5th team.

Walton is one of those tough, smart centers who started every down in college. Always love those guys. He was a Rimington finalist, but lost out to Pouncey. He was an All-American too ... which is no easy feat for a Baylor Bear.

I was actually very happy with the Walton draft pick. The only pick I did not like this year was Zane Beadles. If we were to take him say in the 4th round at the highest I would not have been so upset, but it was a reach IMO.

Per Schefter, Miami signed Procter. Per Lindsay Jones, Walton is the 1st team Center today in minicamp.

Getting all these reps with the 1st team will be great for Walton, if he can start and be comfortable and effective from Day 1 it will be a huge boost for the offense.
