Do we have any rookies that start game one? Take over mid-year? Are injury replacements?

I think we could have at least 2 rookie starters, JD Walton and Demaryius Thomas. I think that Zane Beadles might be an injury replacement.

What do you think?

Good call...

Thomas will have to. Beadles should. Don't be surprised if Decker finds a home as a #3.

JD and Thomas from game 1. I would start Decker but I have doubts about his foot.

I like Decker a lot, and he is going to be our future starter. I think unless Jabar gets hurt, he will work in goalline situations. McD is going to want some experience on the field at the WR position. I think that Thomas, Gaffney and Royal start game one.

Decker is going to be our #2 WR sooner or later, with Royal working the slot.

I think Beadles has a good chance depending on where they line him up.

Decker WILL start eventually, but probably 4th going into the season.

Thomas will probably start.

One of the receivers will start unless Brandon Lloyd has nude pictures of McD's wife. If he doesn't have a bad camp, I could really see us rolling with Tim since McD seems to want in his pants. Who knows. I gotta think Walton will start since beefing up the lines was our main priority this offseason.

I'll be very suprised if either WR starts week 1. They have a ways to go to catch up to Royal, Gaffney and Stokley. Add in that their both coming of injury's. Plus it usually takes a year for WR's to develope.

I could see two or three rookie lineman starting week 1, and that's a scary thought.

Thomas, Walton, possibly Beadles.

If everyone is healthy, Thomas. Walton might take over mid-season, but I doubt a 3rd round rookie starts at C right off the bat.

Decker has no shot at starting if everyone us healthy.

Decker's got a bad foot. Thomas is raw, and this offense is tough for WRs to get used to. I think Beadles has the best shot because of Clady's injury, and his ability to move inside and play Guard.

Not one other yet? No Perrish Cox as a injury starter?

I do think that Thomas starts because he brings different skill set than any other WR on our roster.

Walton will start, and push for a pro-bowl, blocking for a 1400 yd rusher in Moreno.

Yes, he will be that good.

I could see this being vastly different from week 1 (the way I voted) to week 17. I'm not too interested in who "starters" are versus having overall team depth. While Gaffney and Lloyd may be the starters, I think Thomas and Decker could have greater impact in key points of games. I am very intrigued to see how the OL plays out as those players (injuries excluded) remain at their position throughout an entire game unlike WR (and even QB considering Tebow's versatility). Right now your all-world OT starters are coming off injuries and the interior OL could be completely in flux. Other than Kuper at RG, we have no idea who may make up the 5-man line the opening game of the season. By the end of the year, you'd hope Clady and Harris are back at OT with Walton anchoring the line joined by Kuper and either Beadles or one of the Walton's inside - that would set up for a nice OL to grow together.

Thomas, Walton and Seth Olsen at LG.

re: Thomas

McD said he was able to teach Thomas the Denver Broncos WR position in a 3 hour interview session. If the kid can learn how to run pro routes, he'll be on the field sooner than we think.

I agree. If he comes in right away, that says a lot for Thomas, because our WRs are not bad. Not even Moreno started right away, and McDaniels was very high on him.

I'm thinking Royal and Gaffney ahead of Demaryus ... maybe McKinley too.

I'm confident Walton starts every game the next 15 years, but Seth Olsen ahead of Beadles.

The surprise starter might actually be Brady Quinn.

I think the two official starters at WR will probably be Gaffney and Royal - with Royal in the slot and Thomas as the flanker, essentially a starter. But I also see Decker getting a lot of reps per his toughness and nfl-readiness.

Well, I think all of us that think Thomas or Decker starts is assuming a three wide base formation, and thus three starting wide receivers.

Thomas, Beadles, and Walton.

I don't see Decker beating out Jabar Gaffney (who is only 29 btw and has 3 more years).

Stokley is going to be completely situational this year and probably gone next year since his contract will be up after this season.

So... next year I see Thomas/Gaffney/Royal/Decker lineup OR a Thomas/Decker/Royal/Gaffney lineup, with Gaffney becoming more of a specialist to get open when we spread it out.

Royal is listed 3rd because I see him in the slot. Where he should have been all along.

Thomas will almost certainly start from Day 1 IMO.

He'll probably run mostly go routes in his first year, but then he was drafted primarily to be our deep threat guy so there's no harm in that.

Walton will hopefully be ready to go. I think McD would rather not start a rookie O-line player, but he might end up with no choice because we've pretty much nobody else at C.

IDK. Thomas has some size, and I do thijk he can learn to do the cross routes and the screens. Yet, I also believe that McD prefers not to start roolies until later in the year. The exception might well be Walton, although people need to discover the skills of ERic Olsen , as well. I think Seth Olsen starts at LG, Clady will be back, Walton at C, Kupe and Harris complete th eOlione. That leaves Beadles and Eric Olsen as backups who will see time during the games. There is a lot of flexibility in that grouping....

I don't know who will back up Harris. Maybe Polumbus or perhaps Gorin (?).... That is a bigger line and may give some real promise on Oline for the future than we've seen in a while....
