Of all the QBs in the league, he's got the one(Orton), who probably minds the absolute least that he's going to have another QB taking 10 snaps a game away from him.

Orton saw Simms play; I'm sure he has zero problem with Quinn coming in. The Tebow pick might hurt him a little, but he'll be an adult about it. If he plays well/wins games he knows he'll be playing somewhere in the league.

Orton has a new one year deal to get the job done to make himself more marketable. Tebow starts next year and Quinn is his backup. Brandstater continues to develop.

Tebow would obviously sub for Tebow in short yardage/goal line. I'm sure Tebow would be pissed. The great part is that Denver could trade a Tebow and still have a Tebow left.

So you are saying he wouldn't fall apart like Plummer or go get the coach fired like Elway? You are right. Cutler would have probably handled it much better than those guys. He seems to only get upset when you try to get rid of him. Good point there!

One bad season and now Cutler is a bust in the eyes of most of you. This happens for the very same reason that 75% of the people on this board went from definitely NOT wanting Tebow drafted to being in straight-up, homosexual love with him. Not that there is anything wrong with that.. but this goes way beyond a man crush.

The point is, at the very least, be aware of your ridiculousness. If McDaniels traded Tebow for Cutler tomorrow, you all would be proclaiming us "Championship Contenders" by the end of the week. Initially, the board would go into meltdown mode. Popps, without batting an eye, would proceed to write new thread after new thread in support of the decision and, more imortantly, the team, and even more importantly, himself. He would end each one with, "The interceptions are going to be hard to swallow, but i think he can do it. Either way, let's just enjoy the ride." People would soon follow suit, each person realizing that not only was Popps right, but they were also right all along. Cutler NEEDED that year in Chicago. Tebow was just trade bait, and a goal line fullback.
