In truth, you won't be remembered for this take because everyone is used to you running to the front of any new development and trying to make a grand statement about it worth remembering. This is probably going to just get mixed up in all those. But I'll try to remember.

LT is a bad comparison. I would have gone - the way Shannon Sharpe revolutionized the TE position. Keep it in house.

Not sure if I completely agree though, especially since he'll eventually have to become a majority pocket passer as he gets older ala Randall Cunningham. Steve Young used to run a heck of a lot too.

I'm on board with Tebow. Full-steam ahead. This draft has made the McDaniels era very cut and dry for me and probably for everybody else.

Tebow is either a smashing success, and we win a ton on the field or he flops, we lose and McDaniels is fired. Either way, we're moving in the right direction in my opinion.

Only if TJ said it. I have been thinking about this pick for a few days now and really think he is going to use him primarily with the short yardage situations and wildcat or whatever formation you want to call it. He will be a specialist. Dude can run like Elway. He isnt afraid to get hit and if his job is what i described, he better enjoy pounding the ball if he is only in for 5 plays or so a game. I am getting less worried on this pick. We have Orton as our main QB.

I'm wondering why we didn't take sevral premire players and the take either Clausen or Colt, since we allredy had Quinn.

Has McD even worked out Quinn?

We could gotten Dez Bryant and 2 monster OL plus either Clauson or McCoy.

Those are facts.

Plus Tebow has had a really bad concussion.

Hopefully he can fly, he better, I;m not saying he;s not tough, but he's not going to be able to slip hits like Young, McNabb or Vick.

His speed and size are more like Hillis, which bring up another question: Why did we trade Hillis and picks and not get a singe RB to pick up Quinn?, a real unknown?

I see something more akin to Hillis ruunning into a tsunami.

Let's not go overboard just yet. There have been plenty of quarterbacks who were going to "revolutionize" the QB position such as Michael Vick.

I think the best you can hope for out of Tebow is a more complete Daunte Culpepper. The ability to run the ball for 5 yards a carry, get you around 300-400 yards on the year rushing (19-25 a game), complete over 60% of his passes, and throw for 25 TD a season year after year.

People forget but Daunte Culpepper prior to his struggles, WAS Tim Tebow in the NFL. He'd complete 62+%, could throw for 25+ TD, and run for 400 yards a year on top of that all.

Daunte's 2004 is a prime example of Tebow's ceiling IMO: 69.2%, 39 TD vs. 11 INT, 406 yards rushing, and a 4.6 YPC.

I wholeheartedly agree but I think statistically, that's probably going to be Tebow's ceiling. Even Tom Brady consistently sits around 23-28 TD a year and Peyton around 28-33 TD a year.

I just think it's a little short sighted to make a claim insinuating that nobody has come before in the NFL with the same size and/or skill set that Tebow provides athletically. The big difference, as you've said, is the heart/drive in a player that separates the mediocre from the good and the good from the great.
