I hope Mount Cody or V. DuCasse is there at 45.

Someone who actually fills a need and might somehow improve the team, I know it is a novel concept.

look for some other 5th round talent that you are worried will slip past the 2nd round

Cody would be great, but interior offensive line is what I am looking for. Ducasse, Jerry, or Asamoah. Then hopefully J.D. Walton with one of our 3rds. I know that is a lot of offense, but we need O-Line help.

Ducasse.

That's pretty much exactly where I'm at. If they aren't available, there will be someone good still available for the lines in the next 2 rounds.

It doesn't matter as I like to build trenches first and MCD doesn't.

Like a big, physical, deep-threat receiver?

almost gauranteed to be a center, there is 2 we like. if not taken with that pick, mcdaniels will obviously trade up in 2nd again to get one if he feels he needs to.

No doubt about it - John Jerry.

Ducasse would be my consolation prize.

Forgot about Jerry. Would love Jerry, DuCasse, Cody or possibly JD Walton? Or wait for Tennant with one of our 3rd's?

look at the mcdaniels POV. is he a good center,a guy who can step in and compete and make the team better from day one? if they see him as that guy, then no, its not.

+1 This! Please get some O line .

If we don't, I am off the McD bandwagon. He will have Wasted a tremendously possible good draft for Tebow and a WR in the first.

Still need. Center, OG, NT, ILB..

Who is going to throw him the ball? we have 4 QBs now who all have problems with the deep ball and Thomas doesn't run short routes or catch the ball well when facing the QB.

yeah because WR certainly wasn't a need

Jesus, get ****ed

anyhoo...I will bet dollars to donuts that we trade away some 2011 picks tomorrow and gain some 2nd rounders somehow

and oh baby, watch this place as-plode then!

I wouldn't be opposed to that. As long as it isn't a first.

I would be fine packaging a 4th with 45 to move up to around 37 and selecting either Saffold, Jerry, or Johnson. Need an OG! We can get a center in round 3. I would prefer Walton or Larsen.

It's got to be, and better be a center.
Tennant from Boston College.

Other possibilities:

Terrence Cody, Jeff Byers OG, Carlos Dunlap, Takeo Spikes, Jason Worilds

Find the highest character guy and draft him

Broncoman13
04-22-2010, 10:41 PM
Dunlap wouldn't be bad from a need and talent perspective but he doesn't fit character wise. I will be upset if we go Center at 45. Trade back some more if that is the case.

Already got the highest character guy in this draft and probably one of the top three characters of all time!

I don't understand the people who have been clamoring for MLB as a "need"... We cut Andra Davis because there is someone on the squad that McD can perform as well or better (ie likely Haggan or Larsen). You do not cut a starter that early in the offseason without already having a plan in place.

As for Pick 45, I'm hoping for OL. I would guess a Center, cuz I think Olsen is ready to start at OG.

Sean Lee. Walton in the third - second is too early for him. Then look at Jerry or Beadles with the second third rounder. Hardessy would not surprise me in the third. It is not a great draft for interior OL so we did not, and should not, reach.

Arrilelous Benn would be a interesting pick. The Broncos go to the Spread with Thomas , Benn and Royal. Benn also would be insurance in case Thomas bust. I know Benn has said that he wants to be a Bronco. The guy I wanted bad was Jahvid Best. You would of been fun running the spread and having teams try and stop Best with 7 man fronts.

Yeah, you're right. I mean, signing Jamal Williams at safety, Jarvis Green at running back, and Justin Bannan at tight end......WHY DOES MCDUMBASS CONTINUALLY NEGLECT THE LINES?!?

I've been thinking the same thing about Benn.

Thomas is our new X WR, the Randy Moss role from the '07 Pats, where he will stretch the field. This lets Royal take over the slot role like Welker. Gaffney will be penciled in to his old role in NE that Marshall was the offensive centerpiece for us in last year, but Benn would be an ideal guy to compete with him and eventually take the job.

I could see McDaniels doing it, then going Walton/Tennant in round 3 along with a defensive front seven prospect.

As long as we don't give up a shyt load of picks to move up and take a WTF player i'd be happy with the trenches being bolstered

Walton with a third along with eric Decker or Alex Carrington with the other third.

2 Offensive guys picked in the first round.

The 2nd round pick will be defense...my guess is Griffen or Wooten (DE).

I think I'd prefer Asamoah over Ducasse. Similar builds and skills, but Wonderlic 36 (and academic all-american) vs. Wonderlic of 13. Asamoah is pretty much a pure guard. Ducasse could also play tackle. But I think I'd go with the 36.
