This doesn't sound familiar at all.

Steelers now claim that they didn't shop Roethlisberger

On Wednesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter said that the Steelers were actively shopping quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Schefter now says that all calls regarding Roethlisberger were made to the Steelers, not by them.

The latter point meshes with something we've recently heard; the Steelers' position is that they didn't shop Roethlisberger, but that they only listed to other teams who had called. Then again, we'd expect them to make that claim if they did indeed actively shop him and if they have decided that it's time to cram some toothpaste back into the tube.

Unfortunately for Ben, he is in no position to cry like a little bitch and now force a trade.

I wonder if Big Ben can pout and cry to force a trade?

I've heard this somewhere before.

I predict Ben will be traded during the season should Dixon et al perform all right during his suspension.
