tough to post with those restrictions :) . If the AZ boycott is still happening, I will make sure I am BUYcotting and head to AZ to support the state. I dont think it will be as big as last time but we sure had one hell of a tailgate party.

Well, After this Orangemane weekend I think this has become the official Orangemane Road Weekend! Sounds like a lot of people are in, Ryan, Sarah, Sassy, Hogan, Cliff, and best of all Leo & Family!! Any many more!! :) My wife tells me I'm a bad influence.

I might be able to pull this one off as well. Wife wants to take it easy on trips this year, so well see. I have one of my vendors in AZ so maybe a "work situation" can make this happen.

nfl exchange only shows upcoming game vs Raiders but here is stubhub. A tad more pricier than the last time Broncos were there. Still not a bad price. Maybe they beat the Raiders next week then go in a losing streak like they used to do and tickets for this game go for $65 each by Thanksgiving.

Miles did a heck of job rallying people to get to this game yesterday. He's got me considering it and I pitched it to a couple other tailgate groups as well. I generally try to get somewhere warm during Dec anyway. This might make a great extended road trip vacation!

I don't suppose there are any overnight spots near the stadium are there?

broncocalijohn
09-20-2010, 10:31 AM
No but we got RV spots last year and parked in perfect connection with a football field about 200 yards from the stadium (or was it 200 miles?). I think Archie's whole extended family went to that game. PM him to see if he is going again. He had the RV and picked us all up from the motel by the train tracks.

Thanks. We should also try ticketliquidator.com and ebay. Might get lucky with those. Also craigslist isnt a bad idea. Maybe a little iffy but worth a shot for better pricing.

If people are thinking about the RV thing, anyone in California area down to rent one and cruise it out?

broncocalijohn

I choose nfl exchange and stubhub because it shows by section and seating for all could be done in one area.

Sarah and I have to do some work, but I think we can make this happen. If all else fails maybe I'll attend a class in Phoenix for the week before and the week after and then we'd just have one plane ticket to buy.

Miles, since I live close to the state, I am waiting on this one. Ton of Broncos fans at Anaheim Hooters so I will get a head count from them next month or so. My affordability might be carpooling with them for the 6 hour drive (if any of them want to go). Not sure if there is still a boycott over Arizona's great law but if so, rooms are going to be cheaper than normal. Also, contact Ludo as he is out of school by that time (unless he already graduated) and is from AZ. He came last time (with his cute sister for all you single guys) and might live there still. Ogi put on the tailgatting and happenings for the night before last time and is a local there. He doesnt post much here but does over at the Freak and I believe broncos forum. For those that havent been there before, great stadium.

For those in SoCal, looked up mini vans under priceline and they have two days (leaving Saturday morning) for under $150 for everything. Seats 8 but 6 to 7 being more comfortable. Have some guys interested in this and might have a few seats left so 116 or Iron Clady, see if you guys are going.

Im going to try. My cousin owns a dealership in Avondale so I am hoping he has a hookup on good ticket like he has done for me before. Carpooling is cheaper and of course rooms shouldnt be too much for one or two nights. Probably manageable.

Tickets are still in the 35-50 range for upper deck not bad for 60-70 seats.

Looks like My wife and daughter will be there. My wife is extending her stay after her conference is over and I'll "fed-ex" my daughter down the weekend of the game.

She'll be at the Biltmore but is thinking about staying at the Marriott North the weekend of the game.

Hey all, I think Kim and I will make this game, its just a matter of getting off our butt's and buying tickets. I don't think we'll be able to pull off the RV spots next to the stadium like last time. The parking lot employess were very cool last time and just let us in last time, but the stadium has gotten more restrictive. Not sure we can pull it off again. Is anyone actually brining their RVs down here this year anyway?

I am probably going to this one. As long as money keeps up, I am there. Got some Hooter Guys (fans not waiters) interested so probably drive a big van at $23 a pop plus gas. I think it takes at least 7 comfortable if someone wants to get on the list from SoCal.
Brazillian steakhouse? I really did miss Denver this time! As long as there is a bathroom nearby, it is always good. They have a yardhouse restuarant by the hockey arena in Glendale which is next to the stadium. www.yardhouse.com (http://www.yardhouse.com)

Really? Have we come down so low to be going in a parking lot where we can get our dry cleaning done and eat at the fast food establishment? The RV lot (if it is near the practice football field) is a choice spot with all that room as long as you get there early enough to back into the spot near the field. Ogi remembers where we were 4 years ago.

I take it you have decided also that tailgatting in a supermarket parking lot is not a great idea for fans of the Broncos who are going to be there maybe once. This tailgate can be huge like last time (over 100 people) and I think the RV lot is the best spot especially for the OF1 Bus.

The "shopping center" is Westgate if you look on the map posted in this thread it around Jobing.com arena . Its full of resturants, bars and a movie theater. No food stores or dry cleaing lol, but it gets packed on Game day.
