He was such a good dog. Found him collapsed after vomiting this morning. Apparently he was having some internal troubles. They just put him down a half hour ago.

Wish I could say more about my precious friend, but I'm still in shock over it. He was with me for 13 years and looked healthy as you could imagine. I thought he'd live forever.

His name is Ollie.

Looks like a great and loyal companion.

I've got a 7 year old Jack Russell that I would do anything for.

I dread the day she is not around anymore.

I'll make sure to give her some extra frisbee tosses and some extra attention in Ollie's honor tonight.

My little brother rang me last year during the Dallas game to tell me my dog had died.

Was away from home at the time.

Genuinely barely even managed a smile when Marshall scored that amazing TD, just had the wind sucked out of me by it.

I'm planning on getting my first dog this summer (I grew up with them, but I was young and my parents raised them).

I know how it feels to lose a dog, it sucks, nothing really helps. Time is the only thing that heals, but never fully.

Btw, **** people who say "Why don't you get another dog?" They've obviously never had one, and I just want to punch them in their dumb faces for it.

Good luck!

So sorry for your loss. That's the only negative about dogs - we typically outlive them. I lost a lab mix pound rescue I had for a dozen years. His photo and urn are on my bedroom dresser. Dogs are the epitome of unconditional love.

Wow, Taco. So sorry, man. Brutal news. Dogs make us so happy, and then break our hearts.

But, I always try to remember how dogs look at life. He wasn't worried about his age, dying or how much time he had left. He was worried about his next walk, his next treat, his next good time.

Mine is going to be 9 in Sept. For a Boxer, that's getting up there. Trying not to think about it, but if it's any consolation... at least yours passing happened quickly. That's how I want Bella to go. I want her to just drop over one day in a mid-sprint... which would be fitting of her personality.

Sorry, bro.

Lutheranism is a major branch of Western Christianity that identifies with the theology of Martin Luther, a 16th century German reformer. Luther's efforts to reform the theology and practice of the church launched the Protestant Reformation. The reaction of the government and church authorities to the international spread of his writings, beginning with the 95 Theses, divided Western Christianity.[1]

The split between the Lutherans and the Roman Catholics arose mainly over the doctrine of Justification. Lutheranism advocates a doctrine of justification "by grace alone through faith alone because of Christ alone" which went against the Roman view of "faith formed by love", or "faith and works". Unlike the Reformed Churches, Lutherans retain many of the liturgical practices and sacramental teachings of the pre-Reformation Church. Lutheran theology significantly differs from Reformed theology in Christology, the purpose of God's Law, divine grace, the concept of "once saved always saved", and predestination.

Don't post much at all, but anytime I hear of someone losing a pet, my heart sinks. My heart goes out to you and your family. People just don't understand the loss until you have been there. Have had to put two dogs down without notice. Hardest thing I have experienced. Put my best buddy down a little over a year ago, cried all day and for the next few weeks. Thanks to all of the well wishes, condolences, and personal notes of encouragement. It's nice to have people there to help pick you up.

I just picked up his ashes at the clinic. That was tough. It's hard to think that I walked in with his little dog body in my arms, and walk out today with a tidy little box of "remains." Thirteen years. At least I have my memories.
