Philadelphia has always been known for having tough crowds, but bad fan behavior there may have hit a new low at a Phillies game this week. There, a 21-year-old fan allegedly vomited intentionally on the 11-year-old daughter of an off-duty cop.

Police have charged Matthew Clemmens of Cherry Hill, N.J., with aggravated assault and other counts in the Wednesday incident at Citizens Bank Park.

"It was the most vile, disgusting thing I've ever seen, and I've been a cop for 20 years," Easton Police Capt. Michael Vangelo told the Philadelphia Daily News.

Vangelo said Clemmens also struck him in the head several times. Vangelo said he complained to security about cursing and spitting by Clemmens and a friend. When the friend was escorted out of the park, Vangelo said, Clemmens

"leaned over and put two fingers down his throat" and then "started vomiting on us."

Philadelphia police spokesman Lt. Frank Vanore said Clemmens fought with police and "threw up on one officer" before being removed.

"I was just a dad with my kids enjoying a game," Vangelo said. "I never experienced anything like that before."

This dude is lucky he didn't get his head ripped off and shoved up his buddy's @$2 ...

Sorry, getting ready for a hike with my kid. Glad I checked in before I left. He got a nice sized ban that actually pokes into the season. No way he gets off with just an offseason ban for that one. That was WAY over the line.

Sometimes people are at work but don't have anything specifically to do at a given moment. For instance, when I'm on call and in-between cases... I generally surf the mane and other moderated forums. If someone saw the screen with that gif, I could get in some serious trouble. MVP is an asshat for posting that. The mods need to wake up and ban him for an extended period of time for that stunt.

He violated the forum rules and has been dealt with accordingly.

My point is, if you are at work, regardless if you aren't doing much -- is it really the time to be surfing an internet forum?

Placing blame on MVP for potentially having an impact at your place of work based on conscience decision you made (to go on the forums) is taking away from the personal responsibility one should have.

Basically what I'm saying is, "Should you be on the forums while you are at work?" anyways.

Not trying to start ****, but just making a point. Maybe rhetorical more than anything.

This is copied from Fark, about NSFW images. Honestly, I wish this place would follow suit, especially with the avitars. At least I can turn off the avitars at work, but I would prefer to bypass this hassle.

Nudity, partial nudity, or adult content: Naked people aren't safe for work in the average American workplace. Exposed breasts, nipples (including ones visible through material), penises and vaginas, and asses aren't permitted. Remember, an image doesn't have to contain complete nudity for it to be out of place at the office. A good reference point is the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. It's not nudity, but it is a great deal of exposed skin and minimal fabric covering that most workplaces frown upon. Anything you see in the Swimsuit Edition shouldn't be posted inline. The same goes for the Page 3 girls, you British lot. A more general reference point for the would be to think about what you wouldn't want your boss to find in your browser cache. Pictures of dildos, vibrators, butt plugs, Ben-Wa balls, masturbation sleeves, inflatable dolls, RealDolls(tm), and any other sex toys or devices used to penetrate or be penetrated are definitely not acceptable.

It is perfectly fine for me to surf at the hospital. If I'm not operating and idly waiting between cases (which sometimes take an hour to turn over the room), surfing is not distracting from my job. I should be able to surf a "family friendly" forum without having an animated money shot posted on the main page. You can play devil's advocate, but the fault is totally on MVP. I'm glad he's banned.

20 years ago Internet access was hard to find outside of academia and scientific research.

I think it is acceptable to check into the site while at work especially if your a salary employee who puts in well over the usual 40 hour work week.

The smart companies that have Web access appliances or provider reports know where you are going and for how long your on a site anyway. As long as your meeting your supervisor/manager/director's expectations accessing the OM should not be a problem.

Now if your an hourly employee who works 9-5, no more no less, and gets paid for overtime then I have a problem with any internet access.

We always had different policies for internet access.

OMG all you guys are clueless, media echoing dopes!

Azzholes are in EVERY city.... Wasnt it in Denver that Dale Carter, a Bronco, got hit in the eye with a battery? Wasnt it NO where the fans littered the field with beer bottles on a nationally televised monday night game? Wasnt it the Jets in NY I was watching just this week where fans were gunning snowballs on the field? Wasnt it just this week that the game between the Broncos and raiders had to be stopped due to a fan shining a lazer pointer in players eyes?

C'mon you dopes. You really buy into the media's love affair with trashing Philly fans. I've "probably been to more road Broncos games then anyone on this board. I have my opinion on who if the worst "fanbase"... It's not the Eagles.

If you havent experienced it, it's probably best if you dont chime in. Makes you look like a puppet

Not everyone does that .... I was banned and told by someone hey just start another account and refused to pi$$ on TJ's work here at the mane by insulting the system like that.

and it isn't that easy to make another account . Going by another forum i used to help mod i'm pretty sure it bans the ip , yea you can make another account but you cant post from it if it's the banned ip... Even if you try to go through a proxy it wont help cause they have to approve the account before you can post and no one approves accounts with a proxy blocked ip

Well, count yourself as one of the very few then. Generally, if they do enough to get banned in the first place, then they really don't care all that much about pissing on TJ's work or insulting the system to begin with.....it's "the internets" afterall and a place to be a weak sauce keyboard gladiator you know. ::)

If only they did that here, but I'm willing to bet the IP isn't banned here at all, just the offending username. Far too many have circumvented the bannings here for me to believe otherwise.

Harder for people to do that these days. We have a lot of spammers registering, so I moderate every user that comes in the door. It's not impossible for someone to slip by me, but I've caught a few since I started doing it.

I don't think you really understand how call works for a physicians. At a trauma center a surgeon is expected to be there 24-7 and ready to operate immediately if needed. On somenights he or she may be constantly working. However other nights there may not be a trauma and hence he or she will be left to do what they will. In those situations there is no work to be done but they are required to be there so what should they be doing? Surfing the web is certainly appropriate and acceptable behavior.

Unless you understand the nature of his job passing a sweeping judgement such as that is not appropriate.
