Simple question. Would you be in favor of this trade? This would essentially net us Roethlisberger, Ayers & Quinn for Cutler.

We have concerns about character so we trade a young guy that acts immature about a single situation for a guy that is forming a pattern of raping women? That sounds about as dumb as getting rid of a receiver with character issues to go draft Dez, a receiver with character issues.

Jeez the fact all we got for Cutler was Orton , Ayers and Quinn just made me nauseous.

Is Ben even an average NFL QB? Just because he won a couple of Superbowls (on great defensive teams) doesn't mean he's even worth considering straight up for Orton. I don't think Rothlesberger is anything but an average QB. His escape ability is really nice, but he'll force balls and throws some very untimely interceptions.

I don't want him.

You're forgetting #11 will be part of that deal as well.

Also, with Sheffler on his way out Quinn will have a chance to really step up his role this season. With Graham getting older Quinn could be our starting TE down the road. I know that's a lot of faith to put into a guy who showed little to no promise his rookie year, but I'm just saying don't write off Quinn yet.

Roethlisberger is not even McDaniels' style of quarterback. He's too much of a freelancer that holds onto the football and improvises. McDaniels wants a QB that is going to go through his drop, make the read and get rid of the football.

Four months after becoming the toast of the NFL as the youngest Super Bowl-winning quarterback in history, Roethlisberger made his first appearance in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Big Ben flew over the handlebars of his 2005 Suzuki Hayabusa. The QB suffered a broken upper and lower jaw and a broken nose, along with multiple deep cuts to the face.

It was later discovered that Roethlisberger was not wearing a helmet and that he didn't have a valid state license, as his temporary permit had expired two months earlier.

July 20, 2009: A Harrah's Lake Tahoe employee, Andrea McNulty, filed a civil suit against Big Ben, claiming that Roethlisberger sexually assaulted her at the casino in July of 2008. According to her lawsuit, the Steelers QB asked her to his hotel room to fix his TV, blocked the room exit, and then assaulted her. McNulty is asking for at least $440,000 from Roethlisberger and another $50,000 from Harrah's for allegedly defaming her and trying to cover up the assault. Roethlisberger has denied the allegations.

Nov. 22, 2009: Roethlisberger took a knee to the helmet in a Week 11 overtime loss to Kansas City. It was the fourth concussion of his career.

After a week of "will he or won't he?" leading up to a crucial Week 12 divisional matchup against Baltimore, Roethlisberger sat out the game and Dennis Dixon made his first-ever NFL start.

Dixon nearly led the Steelers to a win, only to fall in overtime once again, 20-17.

Locker room scuttlebutt erupted before the game as Hines Ward and other anonymous teammates questioned Big Ben's manhood for sitting out the game.

Head coach Mike Tomlin took the heat, saying it was his call in concert with team doctors and that Big Ben wanted to play. Nonetheless, the sight of him in pads all game long doesn't help the softness rumors.

Roethlisberger returned Week 13 only to lead Pittsburgh to two more embarrassing losses to Oakland and Cleveland.

On March 5, 2010, allegations arose that Roethlisberger sexually assaulted a college co-ed in a bar bathroom.

Roethlisberger didn't deny that he and the woman, reportedly a student at the nearby Georgia College and State University, had relations. Through his attorney, Big Ben said it was a mutual consummation of attractions after a night of partying.

Former Ray Lewis attorney Ed Garland was called in to play the equivalent of Harvey Keitel's "The Wolf" clean-up

Hall of Fame former Steelers QB Terry Bradshaw gave scathing remarks about current Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger on Monday. A Georgia DA announced on Monday he would not prosecute Roethlisberger for an alleged sexual assault against a 20-year-old woman.

Bradshaw said he and Roethlisberger do not have a good relationship. His full remarks:

"When I told him to park the motorcycle, he got pissed. Then he had the accident. Ever since then, he doesn't like me, and I'm learning not to like him. And he wants to break all my records and I say 'go for it.' Break them. I really don't care. I've done my job. My job is over and now you have your shot. But in my opinion, he has got to realize who he is. He is an elite athlete in the National Football League. You've got an image problem right now. The best thing to do is not put yourself in that position again. When you're through playing football, you can do whatever you want to do, but right now, stay clean."

With rampant rumors making the rounds regarding some type of an unpleasant exchange between Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and goldf legend Arnold Palmer, a source close to Roethlisberger says that the rumors "couldn't be further from the truth."

Per the source, Roethlisberger and Palmer have met twice, and they have played together at Arnold's club, the Latrobe Country Club.

"It was awesome," Roethlisberger said of his golf outing with Palmer in 2008. "It was Arnold and I on a team against [the late] Coach [Terry] Hoeppner and Spider Miller. We had a lot of fun. Just to be out there with him. He is a legend. He is maybe the greatest to ever play. It was fun to hear stories and watch him play. He chipped in a couple of times and had some great shots. It was a blast."

One of the rumors is that Roethlisberger at some point after they played together showed up at the club without Palmer, that Palmer got him onto the course, that Roethlisberger was rude to some kids, that the kids ended up being Palmer's grandchildren, and that Palmer went berserk on Big Ben.

The source denies it, and since we don't know whether the story is true or false we'll defer to the source.

And Jim Carrey claims to have been raped too.

Nobody wants another QB more than me, but I don't want to "settle". That's exactly what we would be doing getting Ben. He's overrated because of the team he's on. His defense is the reason they've won two SB's. And take a look at those SB's, they won in spite of Ben. Kind of like us giving Plummer credit for winning that division playoff game against NE. Overall he had a good year last year, but you could say that about Orton.

I've always been confused when people talk about Ben as a top 5 QB in the league. He's an above average QB with the huge advantage of great D. Does he win? Sure, I guess. But he doesn't win a game by himself like a top 5 QB should.
Is he better than Orton? Hell yeah. But he sure isn't a first round pick better than him...
And that's ignoring any character issues

Big Ben has franchise ability but a train wreck mentality. The guy thinks he is invincible and its going to catch up to him if he doesn't open his eyes soon.

Give me Orton and the first round pick over a guy who could end up in jail or out of the league if he doesn't open his eyes.

Wrong, the hospital record for the victim showed multiple lacerations and bruises. For a bathroom tryst that is a lot of damage. So this douche bag obviously preys on younger women AND beats on them.

This guy needs help or jail. Looks like jail could be the front runner.

Only reason charges weren't filed were because she was so drunk she couldn't piece together all that happened. Some may say its her fault for being so intoxicated but thats not the case.

Fact is, Big Ben was going to college bars and taking advantage of his notoriety. He took advantage of a drunk ass girl. The first thing they teach you as a freshman in college is drunk = no. Guess he missed that lesson.

You're obviously delusional. If you're trying to tell me Big Ben is innocent because he hasn't been convicted you're so far off base from reality... I don't think you realize how hard it is to actually convict someone.

Are you telling me Michael Vick is a serial killer now? You're obviously reaching and pretty much desperate for any sort of logic that makes you feel as if you know what the fucc you're talking about.

You do realize there are countries that eat dogs for food right? You do realize they're under us humans in the food chain, right? It's just culture (just like you probably grew up with dog lovers), you're sitting here talking about Michael Vick as if he's solely responsible for torturing/killing dogs and he went off alone in the corner and started torturing animals. It's a group of people involved in the activity, not just Vick. You're over exaggerating what he is now, with no proof or basis on your statements. How would he learn his lesson in prison? He learned how to not get caught? Read that and try and tell yourself it's anything near valid...

As would I baja.

I'd rather watch the Broncos go 0-16 than go 19-0 with a rapist scumbag for a QB.

I don't expect a pro athlete to be a better person than your average citizen. I do not expect them to be patient and giving to fans, start charities with their money, or even be a nice person in general.

I do expect them to give 100% effort towards winning football games and I personally have a big issue with giving my money to a team that then gives it to a player who uses said money to protect themselves after doing despicable ****.

That is why despite loving how Marshall plays on Sundays I won't miss him, because he's a child who likes to smack women around. Its also why the Broncos bringing in Roofiesberger would immediately make me stop supporting the organization.

I like that McDaniels is cleaning out those kinds of guys. Last thing I want to see is him backtracking on that standard just to get wins. I don't think he or Pat Bowlen will though, because to date they've both acted like grown men who understand professionalism, integrity, and the value of having both.

Wouldn't trade chewed gum for Ben.

Wouldn't piss on him if he were on fire.

Wouldn't warn him that hooker has AIDs (don't ask how I know)

GBI documents contain evidence of another Roethlisberger allegation (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/04/16/gbi-documents-contain-evidence-of-another-roethlisberger-allegation/)

Posted by Mike Florio on April 16, 2010 9:03 AM ET
The 572 pages of documents released on Thursday by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation likely contain plenty of useless and irrelevant stuff. But, apparently, the materials contain some interesting information that could make things even more difficult for Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=NFL&id=1181).

Buried in an item in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution regarding the newly-available materials appears reference to an "unsubstantiated allegation" that a "drunken Roethlisberger" made an "unwanted advance" at another Milledgeville-area woman on an unspecified date during a party at Roethlisberger's house in the area.

Per the GBI information, Roethlisberger allegedly pulled down his pants (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1Vm8VLj5dQ) and told the woman she could "do whatever she wants (http://www.ajc.com/sports/gbi-report-accuser-claims-465574.html)." A week later, he allegedly forced his hand up the same woman's skirt.

The woman was able to get away, and her father advised her not to file a formal criminal complaint. (Her father also may have asked her why in the hell she went back to his house a week after he "showed her who he was.")

If this stuff keeps coming out, Ben is going to get the Pacman treatment. As you may recall, Mr. Jones' one-year suspension was based largely on a string of arrests and police incidents; despite a couple of eventual guilty pleas, he never once spent a night in jail.

single handedly? He did have a great game (21/29 275 2tds and 1 rushing td), but their entire team dominated us - their D forced several turnovers and their O owned us all day long. It was an team beatdown.

He rapes women though, so I don't want him anywhere near my team.

Okay, first of all rape is NOT sex. He isn't getting laid, he's trying to show he's powerful. Most men just buy penis shaped cars to compensate for feeling inadequate, Big Ben is a special kind of douche who feels he's entitled to anything he wants and his celebrity clouds him in a shield of invincibility. he's not really wrong in that way We live in a fairly celebrity obsessed society who let go OJ Simpson, who at a bare minimum got away with well documented cases of spousal abuse. That's regardless of whether you believe he killed two people or not. Even before that, his fame kept him well shielded from any consequences for abusing his wives.

As for the Vick and Ben debates, both of them are not people I want on my team, but Vick did at least do time for what he did, while Ben just pays to cover it up. Granted, do I believe Vick is really remorseful, not really. I think he's sorry he got caught, but he did serve his time, though I find him repellent as a human being. Ben, hasn't been convicted, but he is absolutely the type to abuse his celebrity to force himself on someone else and to think in his own mind it wasn't rape, rather she wanted it and he was entitled to it anyway because damn it he has two superbowl rings.

Considering that saying no apparently doesn't work with Roethlisberger, I am at a bit of a loss for how to phrase this..... I think I have it, I would rather use a meat tenderizer on my right testicle than trade for Roethlisberger, he is a ****stick of the highest caliber.

I don't think he forces himself on women as his only recourse to get laid baja.

At this point he sounds like a ****ing serial rapist. Forcing himself on women is the primary attraction. He could get any skank to **** him if he just wanted to get laid.

Roofiesburger probably had all kinds of fun date raping his way through college as the untouchable star QB, and now he doesn't even have to drug chicks. He can just rape them and make the dollars rain to shut up everyone involved.

Football is just a game. My principles (i.e. not supporting serial rapists) are worth more to me than any attachment to or enjoyment derived from a simple game.

I would literally stop giving a **** about anything the Broncos do again until it is under new management across the board (including new owner) if they traded for this sick ****.
