Denver Broncos will more then likely try and grab a WR with one of their first 3 picks in the upcoming draft. Who would you like, and why?

I think Benn or Gilyard in the 2nd is a definite possibility

Benn in the 2 would be ok with me, but there is a lot of WR value throughout this draft. I dont need to reach for one.

Most likely IMO, Jacoby Ford in the 3rd or 4th round. In fact, I think he will be selected even if we draft a WR in the 1st or 2nd rounds. The only way we don't go with Ford, if we get Spiller in the first.

Other than that, Benn, Thomas, Tate, and Williams at 43 are distinct posibilities.

I would love to see Demaryius Thomas fall to us in the 2nd round , but I doubt that happens.

I honestly see a lot of positives out of all those names and feel that they can be solid contributors in the NFL. If Thomas foot is completely healed, I would like that. Gilyard is one of my favorite playmakers overall. I think Benn is an exceptional talent and lack of production is due to Illinois QB situation. Tate would be great too. Decker is a stud.

I see them taking 2 maybe even 3 WR's in this draft.

1 early
1 mid
1 late

This. McDonalds loves Royal and has said he wants to get him more involved in the offense. The way to do that is to bring in someone else to run the more vertical routes on the outside, ie someone with speed.

Considering the threat of the deep ball is probably more important than the occasional deep ball, Ford makes the most sense because if the defense doesnt respect the deep pass, Ford is so fast he will put a massive distance between him and defenders.

Scheme and defensive tendencies will be more responsible for the deep ball than just throwing it up to a guy. This is what makes Ford where you said make sense.

Also, like you said, if they get Spiller, he will usually be matched up with a linebacker. There isnt a LB in the league that can run with Spiller...and maybe not a safety that can. Plus Spiller can take the ball out of the back field.

Both Spiller and Ford can also return kicks.

I think Decker would be a great pickup in the third. And our first three picks could be

Bulaga
Cody
Alualu
;D

Decker jsut seems like the perfect fit for Denver's offense. (athletic and inteligent) I expect he will be selected in the 2nd round and everyone will cry about how we reached for him or should have taken a bigger name. Eddie Royal Syndrome Part 2.

I ****ing love this.

It would be fun to watch Cody platoon with Jamal, wouldn't it? Ha!

Then have Alualu coming off one edge and Doom on the other. Yikes!

This is why I don't want Tate
http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Five-prospects-who-arent-worth-the-love.html

Golden Tate, WR, Notre Dame There’s no denying that Golden Tate has the compact build and overall balance/burst to be effective with the football after the catch (http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Notre-Dame-Wide-Receiver-Golden-Tate.html). The guy runs like a former running back –which he was in high school -- and loves to fight and scratch his way for additional yards. However, I simply don’t think he has the size, quickness off the line or overall fluidity as a route runner to beat press and separate on the outside as a legit starting threat. Tate isn’t shifty trying to avoid press, is stiff as a route runner when asked to change directions and overall isn’t a natural catcher. I think his skill set makes him ideally suited to play a slot guy at the next level, but in no way do I think he’s dynamic enough to warrant a first-round pick. Do I think there’s a place for him in the NFL? Yes, but I see him more as a Mark Clayton (Ravens) type than as Steve Smith (Panthers).

I like Thomas because I think he provides vertical threat now, and would allow Royal to move to the Z role.

If Kenny Mckinley is any indication then we will target the one who is most likely not to touch the ball at all.

What impressed you most, was it his 0 receptions or his yard total?

NO rookie WR is going to have a big impact for the team next season. It takes time for those guys to understand the NFL. We better hope Lloyd steps up.

He was a 6th round pick, so I was glad he made the roster, and contributed on special teams.
