Saw this on twitter a short while ago from the Denver Post:

The team has announced that Brady Quinn will wear No. 9 for the Broncos. (Jabar Gaffney is No. 10 -- what Quinn wore in college and in Clev)

I think the only previous Bronco #9 was kicker David Treadwell - don't remember a QB having #9.

BVP did his rookie year, but he was on the PS, so not sure that counts.

I demand a poll to see if Alphonso should get Peyton Hillis's permission to wear 22.

I'm surprised he couldn't pry away 10 from Gaffney for a price. I mean who really knows who Gaffney is anyway...it's not like his number is selling like hotcakes.

Gaffney has done way more in the NFL than Quinn up to this point. The only reason Quinn's jersey sales were good is because he was 1st rounder and hyped as the Browns future.

Also, Jabar has worn #10 since college as well. I don't think a few thousand was going to make him give up that sentimentality.

"Ol' #9"

That's on the Jack Daniel's label, right? Quinn is starting to F with Orton already.

If you listen to "No. 9" played backwards, you hear "crappy throw."

Is he wearing that number in Cleveland? Do any of the new "Browns are my second favorite team" guys know?

He did, but then he sold or gave #3 away.

I don't remember him ever throwing a pass, but apparently he did. Unless that's warmups:

This is hilarious! BVP a) wore number 11, b) did score a touchdown, which was incredible! Plumber lined up wide left and BVP was under center, snap to BVP and he hustled like 6 or 7 yards into the endzone. Coldest game I ever went to in my life there at Douchebagville (aka KC) and that is the only highlight I can remember. Everything else I remember was having beer cans hucked at me as KC fans made hee hawing noises and told me to enjoy my drive back to Denver.

He did. The last game of the season at home he took the kneel down snaps on the final series. He was cut the next day.
