Welcome to the good side, Jamaal.

He was one of the few Chargers players that I respected.

The Broncos gear looks good on him, too.

This is such a boom or bust signing. Luckily, I don't think we overpaid for the risk.

Honestly, if he plays even 3/4ths of the season, he's a team-changing force.

Cross your fingers, fans.

I agree....As long as we are talking about the LAST 3\4s of the season\post.

Jamal respects the hell out of Philip Rivers, and there are plenty of people in this forum that will have a problem with that. :moody:

Rivers won't have that red jersey on when they next meet, I love it. Although Williams really won't be the one "getting to the QB' so to speak. He's gonna plug up holes. Still fun talk though.

I like the fact that he is showing his team mates how a 'real man lifts weights'. I hope it is contagious, lol!

Old bull buffaloes have to wander off from the pack to go die in the desert somewhere, Denver is as good a place as any.

Absolutely love Jamal but he will have about as much impact as Marlon McCree.

Ditto. Here's hoping he's another 'Neil Smith' impact player.

He's a likable guy who's a leader and happy to be back with Nunnely.

It's uncanny how much alike this is to the whole Neil Smith situation. Hopefully with similar results. ;D

I think Jamal has one good year left in him, if he can stay healthy...

Before the fluke triceps injury last year he has only missed 5 games since 2003. He isn't Boss Bailey or the 2008 Denver Broncos backfield or anything.

I really like the idea of Jamaal running laps before starting the press conference. His breathy answers gave a certain authenticity.

But his knees are an issue. He's a tough SOB and he'll play through injuries but in 2008, his play slipped a little. Maybe the year off from the wear and tear will do him well or maybe his knees are just not what they used to be.

It's still very curious why A.J. Smith cut him in an uncapped year. Despite my jab at him for his level of play slipping, I think they should have held on to him for one more year.

I've seen it before. In the Marlon McCree thread, I believe.

I think he wanted to reduce the number of party boys. I wish he would have picked Cooper or Phillips, though.

I'm no cap expert but usually when you cut someone you'll take a cap hit. So maybe they were trying to take the cap hit this year.

Good point.

Oh well. Better a year early than a year too late. ;)
