Comment: Lions fall in love with hype of Suh and pass on OT to protect Stafford

Should be: Okung if he is here or trade back for whoever wants Claussen more the Bills or Browns
Comment: If Okung goes to Washington I can't fathom away where they aren't at least a .500 ball club with a healthy McNabb

Comment: If only they didn't give a pile of cash to Cassel they could take Claussen here

They're taking him. Period.

2. Lions - Suh (DT) - Nebraska
They won't pass on the player most experts think is the best player in this draft. Although, I think the Lions could shock some people and try to move down. It's getting quite expensive to keep paying 1st and 2nd overall pick money year after year.

3. Buccaneers - McCoy (NT) - Oklahoma
They can't pass on him, he's too good to fall out of the top 3 picks.

4. Redskins - Okung (OT) - Oklahoma State
Best OT in the draft. Shanny has vision of Clady racing through his head.

5. Chiefs - Bulaga (OT) - Iowa
They need to much help on the offensive line to think defense first. Some experts think he's the most pro ready offensive line player in the draft.

6. Seahawks - Berry (S) - Tennessee
Defensive minded coach will take a defense player, the best safety in the draft. They need somebody to help cover Fitzgerald. And you never know, Caroll might just be able to get his QB next year if the Cards release Leinart if he strugles this year.

7. Browns - Campbell (OT) - Maryland
Delhome needs time to throw, or that deal will look bad for them.

8. Raiders - Spiller (RB) Clemson
Al is just in too much love with speed guys not to take Spiller. He's never gonna change. He wants Reggie Bush the 2nd and now.

9. Bills - Clausen (QB) - Notre Dame
They need a QB, period.

10. Jaguars - Dan Williams (DT) - Tennessee
They've had a hard time trying to fill the shoes of Stroud and Williams could really help ease the pain.

11. Broncos - Haden (CB) - Florida
I think McD will try to move down becuase he wants more picks and to build the lines but if he can't, Haden has the best value here and the Broncos CB's are exactly spring chickens anymore.

12. Dolphins - Bryant (WR) - Oklahoma State
They need a #1 WR to compete, simple as that.

13. 49ers - Williams (OT) - Oklahoma
They're defense is really starting to hum, another good OT will really help that offense.

14. Seahawks - Witherspoon (LB) - Missouri
With the illness of McClain, the Seahawks prefer the safer pick.

15. Giants - Thomas (FS) - Texas
The G-MEN would love to get their hands on a top DB like this. A versatile guy who can cover or roam.

16. Titans - Morgan (DE) - Georgia Tech
The Titans know the best way to stop Manning is to get in his face.

17. 49ers - Mays (S) - USC
A coach who was a physical player will enjoy his new physical safety.

18. Steelers - Iupati (OG) - Idaho
Probably the best value here and a guy who can try and help restore their running game.

19. Falcons - McClain (ILB) - Alabama
They need to get more physical on defense and they will feel like they got a bargain getting McClain here.

20. Texans - Dunlap (DE) - Florida
They have the offense to hang with the Colts but need to get to Manning a little more often.

21. Bengals - Pierre-Paul (OLB/DE)
The Bengals really wanted one of the top Safety's but rushing the QB will suffice just fine.

22. Patriots - Wilson (DB) - Boise St
A pure value pick for the genius as he tries to rebuild his defense.

23. Packers - Cody (NT) - Alabama
Size does matter and the cold won't affect him as much with the insulation he has.

24. Eagles - Gresham (TE) - Oklahoma
They need more weapons in the passing game.

25. Ravens - Pouncey (C/G) - Florida
He can play Guard for a year or 2 until Birk retires, which should be soon going on his 14th year.

26. Cardinals - Brown (OT) - USC
Leinart will need all the help he can get and their O line has struggled. Nice fit.

27. Cowboys - Price (DT) - UCLA
The Boys have a solid defense but the offense has some good players too. A best value pick here.

28. Chargers - Matthews (RB) - Fresno St
The Chuggers need somebody to compliment Speedy.

29. Jets - Griffen (DE/OLB)
Because just when you think your defense is that good, there's nothing quite like insurance.

30. Vikings - McCoy (QB) - Texas
Even if Favre comes back, it will only allow McCoy to learn the system before he takes over the following year. Without the injury, the Vikings feel he was a top 10 pick and this is a steal for them.

31. Colts - Hughes (DE) - TCU
Somebody to get some pressure on the other side should help free up Freeny from so many double teams and chip blocks.

32 Saints - Kindle (DE/OLB) - Texas
It's obvious, they won't be picking any offensive players with this pick. The defense does need some help too.

I really don't see it affecting the flow of the draft that much except that the Skins don't trade up for Bradford or draft a QB. I think the top four picks remain pretty much where they were going to be anyway. I do wonder, however, how this affects the market value for Marshall. Is he worth #14 when McNabb went for an early 2nd and a future 3rd or 4th. The more I look at it, I don't see us getting a 1st for Marshall. I think we are looking at a deal with Seattle involving their 2nd and players (Sims, Hawthorne), to Tampa for both 2nds, or to the Jets for player / players (Mangold / Harris and, maybe, Cotchery). Just my gut based on the current market values for players with a very deep draft and some of the players we are bringing in for private interviews / workouts.

I would not trade back if Okung were available if I were them. I think teams could trade up for Clausen or one of the other LT's later in the 1st at a cheaper cost.

After the sucess shanny had with Clady there is no way he trades that pick unless Okung is gone. I do think this makes the Clausen situation interesting. I could see the seahags taking him accept they just got fleeced by the the chargers for a back up who was supposed to be the guy there so to me the McNabb situation probably cost Clausen a ton of cash but other than that not a huge re-shuffel

I'd actually prefer any of those 3 trades to #14, especially the Tampa or Jets deals you outlined there. I don't think there's any chance the Jets give up Mangold or Harris though.

The Jets turned down trade ideas involving Harris last year too. It would be interesting to see Shanny offer us Number 4 for Marshall and a couple of our later round picks to give them more ammo. Maybe a third this year and 4th next year.
