I've been on Firefox for years, but people keep giving me the Chrome argument...

Chrome except for eBay shipping labels.

(Not sure if they fixed that problem yet?)

Not a chance I'd use Chrome. Google is evil :) Also, Google is collecting data on you....

Unfortunately Gmail is still the best webmail out there.

Granted its not the best, but it works just fine for simple things when you're on the couch and want to stream something directly to the tv, check cheats in the middle of a game, or are just bored. Its better than nothing and I personally would rather use it over IE8.

That being said - I would never ever ever ever ever use it on a computer, if that option were available one day.

They changed their name to Topeka, by the way.

I like firefox but I haven't given chrome a chance. Some people really seem to like it.

Both chrome and firefox. I prefer ff's download manager, and chrome can't handle my school's security certificates yet.

But to anyone out there using IE: stop! For the love god. That thing is horribly standards incompliant. You make every person who has ever done any web design pull their hair out.

But the majority of my orangemane visits are actually via the android browser

I go back & forth between Chrome & Firefox, just depending on which one I feel like clicking. I know, real scientific, huh?

I'm looking forward to the release of Firefox 4 early next year. I'm curious to see how much of the Chrome look they adopt.

Chrome but only because Firefox won't let me bookmark anything anymore. Not smart enough to figure out why.

I've only ever used IE for the simple fact is that is what is on my PC and never had the need or desire to use anything else. Does it really matter that much?

It doesn't matter. IE will work better with anything provided it's not some homemade piece of junk code.

Well, you angry fool, I was just asking.

Many people moved to Firefox for the add ons, which include ad blocks, which mean when I visit this page I don't see ads for cougarville or any of that crap, making my browsing experience more enjoyable.

So for some non-angry nutbags, it does matter.

I listen to the radio, visit youtube, look at pron (incognito style), and watch Bronco games using Chrome.

I'm on Firefox probably 10 times as much as I use Chrome though.

I've tried firefox and google chrome, yet I find myself going right back to IE. I don't and have never had any problems with it, so I see no reason in changing again.

To all the people who like Chrome as a browser but don't like Google's ever present gaze I'd suggest SRWare Iron, its based on the same engine but minus the Google prying eyes.

LOL, I am sure they do. Really that is all they are. As a means of monetizing their search engine they had to place advertisements on their searches. They bought the company I use to work for and I worked for them for a little over a year. I would expect them to one day add banner (display) advertising to searches similar to what they have done with YouTube's home page. Chrome, while very cool, is just another way for them to serve ads and make money off of that. Same goes for Android.

The poll should be, what browser should you use? Here's a recent speed comparison.

http://www.thinkdigit.com/Internet/The-hunt-for-the-Fastest-Browser-on_4224.html

However, Chrome still has a ways to go with regards to the linux version and web developer extensions, which Firefox dominates. Also, extensions are disabled in incognito mode, which is apparently a feature because they can possibly save off data, which ultimately renders the browser useless in incognito mode...in my opinion. Oh and Chrome doesn't allow for multiple search engines from the URL input without an extension, which is disabled in incognito. Firefox 3.6 Linux!

Firefox. The add-ons I have are just way too useful. Click a button, I upload an image to imageshack. Click another one, I convert the youtube video I'm watching into an MP3. I have the weather forecast and 3 search bars on my browser, all of it tidy.

You need to get Windows 7 and you can download a Gadget for all but the music stuff (that I know of so far) on your desktop, DESKTOP.

Well, that sure made the poll irrelevant.

Apparently all 35% of firefox users posted in this thread.

I used it but it is clunky. I wish IE had spell check though.
