On my blog at: http://sportsindenver.blogspot.com/

The famed Orange Crush defense of the late 70's and early 80's were tough! Here are some big hits by Randy Gradishar and Tom Jackson.

Gradishar was especially good in short yardage situations as the first highlight shows - he had an innate ability to time his charge just right to stop a ball carrier dead in his tracks.

Younger fans may just think of Jackson as a likable analyst on ESPN joking with Chris Berman. As these highlights show Jackson was a heat seeking missle on the field - not very big but could he hit!

wow great clips titan.

That 1979 season finale play at San Diego brought back some bad memories. When Jackson whacked Charlie Joiner and Foley recovered that fumble, we should have had great field position. But instead they foolishly gave the ball to the Chargers. Foley was so obviously down by contact, but the Chargers retained possession.

And I believe Joiner scored on a long pass from Fouts a few plays later. Morton threw 4 picks that night even though he completed 21 of 29 something like that. He had one murderous pick at the Chargers goalline, to which his buddy and former teammate Dandy Don muttered "oh Craig what are you doin". LOL

Great memories titan.

titan do you have the 1979 game highlights of Denver vs San Francisco? Joe Montana's first ever TD pass in that.

Have NEVER seen highlights of that game.

I always thought that 1979 game at Kansas City game was an Enberg Olsen game. But it was Len Dawson and Charlie Jones. It was a nationally televised battle for first place with both teams 4-2 at the time.

Loving these clips!!!
