He studied all season for the tourney

An autistic teenager from the Chicago area has done something almost impossible.

Nearly 48 games into an upset-filled NCAA tournament, 17-year-old Alex Herrmann is perfect.

"It's amazing," he says. Truly.

The teenager predicted that Northern Iowa would beat the Kansas Jayhawks. He picked Ohio to knock off Georgetown. And Cornell to knock off Wisconsin.

And I thought my bracket was awesome. 1 in 13.4 Million odds for this kid. Amazing.

You can only study so much. Luck is the biggest factor here.

If he was so hardcore about it, why didn't he post one on ESPN?

What's the difference between posting one on ESPN and doing it on CBS?

The big money ESPN is handing out for a perfect bracket.

Exactly. This seems like one of the random brackets I'd draw up and show my friends, "HAAAA Look, I picked NIU to beat Kansas, you'll all suck my dicks if I'm right!"

I'm only jealous if it gets him a sportscaster job at ESPN. I bet 9 times out of 10 I can pick better brackets than him.

If Kansas played NIU today, would you put a grand on NIU?

No, but I would put $20 on NIU.

I picked them to beat the Gayhawks first go around.

I'd say 9 times out of 10 you're a complete douche bag as well.

Why bash the kid because he didn't enter into a money contest? He clearly does not care about money, he even said he's studied all year for it.

I didn't read the article but I'm guessing that those odds are based on hitting a 48 team parlay assuming each game is a 50/50 prop. The actual odds are much, much longer I'm sure.

If you converted the actual moneyline numbers into win probability and ran the formula again for 48-0 the number would waaaaay higher.

Final 4 of K-State, Tennessee, Kentucky and Purdue, with the Boilermakers winning it all. So some big upsets needed for his bracket to stay perfect.

So... with all the games out there that give money prizes and are, therefore, tracked, this guy chose to post his plays on the only one that doesn't give money and you can, therefore, change your picks after the fact.

I don't buy it. Way to use your kid for publicity. I wish they could prove them as frauds.

I watched this movie for the 1st time last night and realized I didn't laugh at all and the dude with the beard was creepy with the pretending that the baby was jerking it.

I don't understand the love for this movie.

Tom Hanks did the best bachlor party movie ever back in the 80's.

The Asian guy was probablly the best part of the whole film but even he couldn't save it.

I didn't get one laugh out the whole movie and I was expecting to have belly laugh after belly laugh.

The Dentist pulling his own tooth was ironic but not laugh out loud funny.

They setup the holocaust ring was setup the whole movie and the payoff/punchline was "I didn't know they gave out rings at the holocaust", I knew something like that was coming and it just wasn't funny.

It was more sad than funny.

My buddies from high school still use the "Behind the sun" line from Bachlor Party. Nothing is more funny than a WASP's Porche turned into a beaner mobile by a beaner.

This was a movie I was glad I got at the Library for free, I think I will reserve Bachlor Party and watch that again to make up for the Hangover.

The only nudity was 2 different dudes asses. Maybe a naked Heather Grahm(SP?) would have put me in the thumbs up category.

If you're using nudity to rate movies, just watch strictly porn and leave the other movies to the non-weirdos of the world.

But it was the kind of movie that seemed targetted at the teenage/young adult in us all. Some good boob scenes would've been something, particularly if they introduced the next great up and coming star or maybe a current hottie going topless for the first time.

In the end, the movie flopped, I thought. No plot really, no story to it... it was just hectic and chaotic for two hours and then it ended.

We wouldnt figure you would understand as someone that would clean up Gene's jeezum after a personal shower scene (personal until you break the 200 yards agreement through the courts). Hangover will go down as a classic with Old School. Bachelor with Tom Hanks is one of the best, no doubt.

Something tells me you did not see the very end that ties all the pieces together and explains how and what happened. The ending (if you stuck around with the credits) is one of the funniest scenes in the movie. I think you sold yourself short going into the movie with the thought of "NUDITY!"
At least you and Steven can tell us about the NASA convention .
