I would argue that we did well. We didn't loose anyone worth a pick.

That's a load of ****. How can Cinci lose Chris Henry to dumb-****-ary and Chicago lose a guy to a heart condition and not get compensated?

Did we get compensated for Dwill and Nash anyway?

Plus Chris Henry is not worth a 3rd anyway.

Does it count for comp picks when players sign as free agents with The Reaper?

(Honest question, I don't know.)

TJ Housh (3rd) and Stacey Andrews (4th).

Atlanta got a 3rd for Domonique Foxworth. Tennessee a 3rd for Haynesworth.

They lost housh a year ago

I am fairly sure that compensatory picks are based on who you lose in free agency the year before, not this year.

great trade shanny...We could've gotten a 3rd for Fox by letting hmi play his deal out here and walk after that..

I always hated these dumbass picks. They are so arbitrary; who decides what team gets what? How do they decide a certain player is worth a 3rd instead of a 5th? I never understood why teams get rewarded for not being able to sign their own free agents. It's a stupid rule.

In hindsight yes but then would the Ravens have given him $7m per season (which is why the Falcons are getting a 3rd rounder) if he was still stuck on the bench in Denver???

The playing time in Atlanta got him the deal. He wasn't getting that time here.

About 90% of it is based on the contract they signed, i.e $$$ per season.

Wow, we really let a lot of talent get away.

He didn't even start the whole time in Atlanta. That just shows you how bad are talent has been lately and how good of a game day coach shanny was, we haven't lost a decent player to FA since Trevor Pryce.

Didn't we lose Bertrand Berry to FA?

Well before Pryce left.

And Reggie Hayward. I seem to remember we got a decent comp. pick for Ian Gold too, I always lol'd at that.

Also before Pryce left. Though I believe Pryce was released because he refused to renegotiate his contract.

Yar! You quoted me before I deleted it :) I thought we were just talking about who we got comp. picks for, not best UFAs to walk since Pryce. Also you're right, Pryce got cut because of a big contract + back issues that year.
