Adam_Schefter: Some coaches in AFC North texted they're very relieved that LB Kamerion Wimbley is out of their division. Wimbley now AFC West's problem.

I'm shocked that KC didn't get him. Crennel drafted him and obviously loved him. He would have been an awesome pass rusher to pair with Tamba.
Faiders got a steal. He was worth more than a 3rd.

I'm more shocked that the Raiders made a ridiculously smart trade.

Maybe it was the daylight savings time switch that made their broken clock right? You have to luck into a good deal every once in a while, right??

Why didn't a 3-4 team get him? Not sure if he fits the Raiders as well since they are base 4-3.

It sounds like they didn't even give up their third round pick for him. They traded Burgess to the Pats for a 3rd and a 5th, then used that 3rd to get Wimbley. Solid move. I wish we could have found away of getting him with Quinn.

Blah...he'll be nothing in Jokeland. He had a great rookie year and has failed to live up to that since...........

Spot on.

Amazing how few folks seem to even watch football these days. Good rookie year - nothing since. Wake up and start watching some football instead of reading about it people.

He had 6.5 sacks last year. He isn't very good against the run but still he has 60 plus tackles in 3 of his 4 seasons in the NFL. There is debate on the Raiders boards about them switching to a 3-4. Having him helps should they do switch. Still he replaces Greg Ellis on the other side of Richard Seymour in a 4-3 front. There is no reason to think he won't match what Ellis did for much cheaper.

I think if the Raiders take Dan Williams at 8 they will be switching to a hybrid 3-4 system.

I think Mike Holmgren is a terrible GM. He proved he couldn't do it as a HC/GM in Seattle so Seattle yanked his GM status and kept him as a HC and they were actually pretty good (got to a SB).

Now he's a GM for a struggling franchise and he's dumping Quinn (a kid who still has the ability to become a good QB) for a washed up, overpaid QB in Delhomme and a career back up in Wallace.

Then he dumps a young LB in Wimbley for a 3rd round pick.

It's going to be ironic when Holmgren drafts Clausen...

I think he would've been awesome had he been allowed to stand up somewhere, but Davis is moving him to DE. I don't know how that'll go over.

I seem to recall reading last offseason that he's dropped off because people realized he has one move: speed rush.

He had 24 QB pressures last year and 8 QB hits. In comparison Dumervil had 31 QB pressures and 7 QB hits. I think he is better then people want to give him credit for but to each their own.

Man, Holmgren/Mangini are cleaning house.

Remember, CLE D was an inmates run the asylum situation last year, or so it seemed to me. Maybe Mangini just wanted to get rid of a lockerroom cancer???

Elvis Dumervil makes Wimbley look like a b*tch. Dumervil is still the AFC Wests problem, not Wimbley.
