View Full Version : Are you Quinn or Out?

You with the organization or not? I think this is a solid move, for upside, without giving up anything really.

What say you?

It was a low-risk move and probably one that we'll look back on in 2 or 3 years and shrug. But it was worth a chance and it probably has as much of a probability of working out as a QB in the draft.

Quinn will make an upgrade at QB over Chris Simms. I chose the last one because I assumed it would allow me to call Quinn a fag.

There is a reason I don't play or work for a football organization. I have faith that there is a reason certain moves are made and can't truly criticize them. However, if we don't have anything to be excited/hopeful for after this season (I believe one season is not enough to judge a new coach). I will be disgruntled.

What kind of embarrassing things has he done off the field since being drafted? You're posting a bunch of high school and college photographs, and calling him a child molester.

Like I said, you're the one distributing photos of teenage boys placing their hands over each other's crotches, and calling it molestation. I'm pretty sure if that is molestation then you're peddling gay child porn.

Just giving you a warning man, you see Chris Hansen knocking at your door you should run the other way.

I don't have a problem with the move and the Browns as an organization haven't really done much in getting the best out of their players for some time.

Looks more like the draft will be heavy on rebuilding the offensive line.

Sure, those pictures are embarrassing, and I would have agreed with that before or after the trade. Calling them "child molestation" is just so wtf retarded, I can't even comprehend. It's not like it was agreed upon around here that Quinn was a child diddler before the trade and now everyone is changing their mind.

I wasn't thrilled at first, but after pondering it and seeing the picks we gave up are low there's nothing not to like or support. Quinn has far more talent and upside than Orton, so hopefully McD can work a miracle with him the way he did with Cassel.

And everybody with the gay issue needs to get over themselves.

I like this trade in two parts-

Quinn: Simms is horrible. If we carry three QB's I feel we need 1) a sure starter 2) a vet with some experience 3) a guy with potential. Move Simms out and put Quinn in the 2 spot. If Quinn were to be able to beat out Orton so be it. I don't think he can, but it would make us a better team if he did. Contrarily it gives Brandy a target to shoot for. Lets him know "You have to be better than this to get playing time." We'll see what McD and company can do with Quinn.

Hillis: I think he has great potential but it looks like he wasn't going to hit that potential here. I can't say with authority what the problem was, but Hillis didn't play well when he had his chances. In that situation he had no value to the team, and his value to other teams was in decline. The best thing to do is trade him to a team to get some value out of him. I wish him the best.

I pretty much see it very similarly. From Josh's perspective, he's trading a FB for a QBOTF. Brady is familiar with the system and could come in and start this year. I think everybody knows that Orton isn't our long term solution. Brady might as well be our opening day starter for that matter.

At the very least, I like that there is going to be competition this fall between two journeymen guys. Hopefully one of them rises to the occassion.

Quinn has a better up-side on his movement outside the pocket, he can makes plays on the move and he's a huge improvement over Simms at backup.

I have to laugh at the posters that say this is a "lateral move"...wtf...he is younger(i don't care if it is only a few years, it is a few years), much more mobile, and has a stronger arm...yes from what we have seen he is a little less accurate, but when people say Orton handles pressure better than Quinn, they don't know what they are talking about...Quinn had pressure on every play..he anticipated it, because his line was so damn shiatty! His mobilty alone will be what makes the difference...I have a lot of friends that are not Broncos fans that believe that this was a great pickup by the Broncos and I have to agree.

I've got a good feeling this will be addressed with more roster moves or in the draft, it has to be a high priority on McD's radar. I've got to give him a good grade so far but the final exam is Marshall....we'll see
