So what's the outcome of the Darrent williams murder trial. Hopefully the jury deliberation will be "short and sweet".

I'm worried. A dismissed juror said today in the press that if he was still on the jury, he'd say not guilty.

Another juror, also dismissed, said the opposite though.

But I thought a jury had to be 12 members, with one alternate. Do they ever appoint extra alternates for cases?

i say guilty and life in prison and hopefully the biggest baddest mother****er in the prison is a diehard Broncos fan who makes it his personal mission to rape this piece of **** every single day until he gets sick of him and then shivs him and then justice will be served

Don't know if this trial had 7 or 12 and how many alternates were selected.

That's a question for our legal eagles (Bean and Buff)

People like Willie Clark don't deserve to have a life. He's lucky he gets to leach our tax dollars. Our justice system is a joke overall with the amount of scum we let back onto the streets over and over.

Sentence his ass to the Bronco locker room after each loss and turn off the lights.

im thinking acquitted or hung jury myself. as already said one kicked off juror said he would say guilty but said others had doubts. And on the fan or mile high sports radio yesterday they had a lawyer on and asked him who they think did the better job and he said if I was a juror I would have a hard time finding 100% gulty based off what defense said.

I hope you are wrong, but most of the prosecutions' witnesses are as slimey as the defendant and I'm sure the jurors will consider their motives while in the chamber.

Unfortunately, not enough hard evidence, and potentially fear will dictate the outcome. I am hoping that they can at least find him guilty of some of the charges and he is locked up for a while.

The most disappointing is that the other shooter will either be serving a lighter sentence or will be free soon.

Unfortunately, there's enough gray in this case to give him a sliver of a hope to get out of prison. Therefore, my answer is "life in prison", but that comes with the possibility of parole in about 25 years...

I see we have 3 opting for the hung jury. What happens if that is the outcome?

He'll get off IMO. there is no murder weapon or any physical evidence linking him to the crime.

Large profile cases will almost always have two alternates. Typically if deliberations last longer then a few days with a alternate, the Judge will declare a mistrial rather then kick another juror out.

Be careful what you think and say here. It's important that the prosecution meet the legal standard - beyond a reasonable doubt. I've come to believe there are a lot of people wrongly imprisoned simply because a prosecutor found it expedient to railroad a minority who didn't get decent legal representation.

I am anything but a environmental justice crusader, but my view was formed serving on a murder trial as a juror in Boulder.

A hung jury results in a mistrial, but the most likely outcome is a severely watered down plea-bargin - probably a year behind jail. If there really are 3 full jurors + 1 who won't convict, you are up a creek without a paddle.

They did find the murder weapon (barrel of the gun) in a field near the burned out Tahoe.

Felonies are 12, they can have as many alternates as they want. Not sure how many they asked for in this case though.

Mistrial, 90 days to re-try the case.

I don't see how they can convict since there were two weapons fired and they can't prove who fired which gun. Seems like a really sh!tty case put together by the prosecution. Add to the fact that they granted immunity to some real scumbags involved and this is not going to turn out well.

I hate to agree on this, but yeah...this wasn't a good case put together by the prosecution. They had time to put it together, however that is because nobody is willing to talk since key witnesses are getting death threats not only for them but for their families. Tough situation.

Hopefully I am wrong and Clark is behind bars for life.
