View Full Version : Brandon Marshall Tour

Brandon Marshall is finding out the harsh reality of having a bad reputation and a me first attitude on the open market. couple that with the compensation the Broncos are demanding and therein lies the stalemate he finds himself in. That said, Iím sure Al Davis would be glad to have him. I for one advocated for getting rid of him long before this. Rumor has it that was one of the reasons for Shanahanís dismissal at Dove Valley. He wanted nothing to do with the Brandon Marshall act any longer. I wonder why it took Bowlen this long to come around.

BM's biggest blunder was not signing Seattles offer.

Now he's damaged goods.

This does nothing for Denver, with Bouldin going for a 3rd.

Laugh all you want, but WR's are not valued like QB's.

How do you know Denver offerred BM 9M/per backloaded?

Do you know the SB?

Who knows.

It's remarkable we got 2 and a 3rd for cutler, it's not too much to ask the 14, it's just money.

Yeaah!...Fonzie for BM!

They didn't. It's a "mock fact."

Mock Fact - Noun - A factual assertion made on a football message board without any factual basis to back it up. Named after the patron saint of all things non-factual, watermock.

Hopefully, this works out best for the Broncos and he stays here.

He'll likely stay at leaset one more year, but at a reduced rate, if he signs the tender. A longer term deal could be made later, but the boy's agent will have to work hard......

What a comeuppance......

I think this was the Bronco FO's plan the whole time. Because they have offered Brandon a contract last year, but he rejected it. Now he gets to see what other teams think.

How do you know Denver's offer was real either?

To me, players are livestock.

BM is a Prize Bull.

We had a Holstein Bull we made a corral of railroad ties to keep him in.

He broke his leg and had to be put down.

Don't toy with the Bull, let him go.

That fool was smart for not taking that deal. No money up front? What kind of deal is that? Thats crap. No NFL player would take that deal. Every OWNER would love it, then all the risk is on the player.

Marshall was already mis-diagnosed from THIS medical staff, and he put his career in jeapordy playing in 2008 because of their misdiagnosis on his hip.... thus why he felt he deserved a raise. Now you want him to simply sign a contract with no guarnteed money so that HE is taking all the risk again? You guys sure know how to treat your players. No wonder we are bleeding talent.

So you don't consider a $10 million, cap tying contract to a player who is one fart in the wrong direction away from a half season vacation risky?

I wonder how many people who are crying for Marshall would be quick to criticize McDaniels/Xanders, if they did give Brandon guaranteed dollars and he got suspended anyway, for not protecting the team with precise language in the contract.

Starting to get the feeling we will be stuck with Marshall...unless the price goes down in compensation...

Again I love the player on the field, it's the douche off the field I hate.
