Anyone that has a Facebook account, I could use your help. Eddie royal is running a contest that ends tomorrow (monday at 12 noon). The person that gets the most "likes" on their comment on his wall, gets an autographed item of their choice.
As of Sunday at 1:15pm (now), I'm in 2nd place. If you have a Facebook and or your kids, or spouse has facebook, I would appreciate if you took a minute to help me out.
Here are the steps:

Go to this link: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?v=feed&story_fbid=330905049322&id=1428672132#!/royal19?ref=search&sid=1428672132.26497632..1

Once there, Click "become a fan" next to Eddie's name.
Next, click "wall"
Next click "just fans"
Once there, scroll down until you see my comment. Look for my name.. Greg Cuozzo. As of now, you will have to scroll down to the bottom and click "older posts" one or two times to find me. For a helpful reference, the guy that commented right before me posted a pic in a Yellow Eddie Royal jersey. When you find my comment, simply click "like" button under my comment.

Thats all it takes. Looks like a lot of work but will take 30-60 seconds. Thanks to anyone that supports me.

EDIT>>>> I'll Rep ya if you help me. Just let me know if you did this and I'll shoot you some rep

Some people are capable of having both a "real human life" and a facebook account. You'd be surprised at how little effort it actually requires.

You're super cool though!

I knew that would piss people off.....Facebook people are like that Nike wearing purple sheet people that tried to hitch a ride on that comet a few years back.

Seriously. All facebook is is a giant billboard for oneself. If you want to have actual friends you call them or email them or have lunch with them, but having a page where people write on your wall and listen to you updating what a cool dude you are is kind of lame.

Sorry to ruffle feathers, but it is the offseason afterall.

Just please god, let one person who has a facebook account admit that it is an empty and selfish experience. PLease. than I can go on with my life knowing that I helped one person to break from the bonds of loserness and perhaps even save future generations form being spoiled, whiney narcissistic pricks...

well, there is interaction here and conversations for the most part(o.k. maybe that was before broncofan7 started posting). so I would rank this a more social experience. I view this as an online community and not a server that will hold a spot for me to use as a personal billboard.

however, this site is definitely something I don't mention on a first date. I am a bronco fan though, and this is also where I get my news and updates. This is also the only website I frequent besides the Onion and email.

Well, if you hangout with people in real life than you don't need Facebook do you? Thats what a cellphone or email account are for....FAcebook, and all the bells and whistlesthat it comes with, are to be seen by millions and that is the charm of it. Serioulsy, that is why people like it. And that is kind of gay.

I keep up with friends that have moved away, family, and random people I dont see often. I spend about 5 minutes a day on facebook, and I go out plenty with my people.
PS The only people who can see my page are my friends.

It's not actually why people like it, but again, why bother with facts and information when you can make general attacks on a technology that you so clearly know nothing about? That would just take too much time away from your facebook-bashing schedule, and we couldn't have that.

I use facebook for many things, the last of these is "to be seen by millions" of people. In fact, that's sort of counter to my personal use of the entire thing.

I use it to keep up with old friends, learn more about new people (including people who are applying for jobs or contract assignments), find out about happenings in the area (yes, real life things like concerts and talks and the like are actually placed on facebook as well! Amazing!), etc.

I think social networking to the extreme is pretty retarded however it's the future. People who have to update every stupid part of their life are tools, but whatever. That's not the vast majority of people though.

It's often an update on what they are doing that night, meeting up, thought a movie was cool, impressions on an event etc.

I hardly post a damn thing on Facebook... like 8 updates in 3 years.

That said, almost everyone I know are friends, and they have RL friends, and boyfriends/girlfriend and they all communicate that way.

It's essentially text messaging and mini blogging that's available for everyone to read.

It's the future of networking and keeping in contact/touch with people. People move... your friends from high school aren't going to be around you forever and that's the bulk of my friends on Facebook - a major chunk of which live in different cities now. Kind of hard to go out in real life with people who can't teleport over to your place.

Saying it's for people with no friends is about as stupid and far away from reality as it gets in relation to this stuff. Sorry but you're flat out wrong in regards to this.

Saying Phones/Email etc is all you need is no different than people who'd rather ride a horse when cars were first coming out. Facebook, Twitter, etc are just the evolution in social networking.

dude, im 31....I rocked my pager in highschool like no other. I remember sagging my jeans too. You see, I am ashamed of myself for getting caught up in fads like a girl for doing that stuff. I guess that is why I don't like facebook, because I was one of those douche's that had a friendster and myspace account.....

i never predicted that it would fail. I was on Prodigy in 1993....most of you probably never even heard of it, it was before aol and all this "futuristic" stuff...I have been social networking longer than most....the point is that it isn't the basis for real friendships. And if anything it takes away from all the wonderful aspects of a real human life you know, like making friends and not advertising yourself.

I spend a lot of time on this site, but none of you even know my real name or what I look like. that is the beauty of the interwebz to me. it is not a popularity contest. high school ended for me 13 years ago.

I am not trying to say I am better than anyone either. I am just an average man who is saddened by how disconnected we humans are becoming towards one another and just feel like pointing it out, even if I am screaming at a wall.

I am not trying to say I am better than anyone either. I am just an average man who is saddened by how disconnected we humans are becoming towards one another and just feel like pointing it out, even if I am screaming at a wall.

That's probably a fair point, and probably would have been better-received if not for the way you packaged your original comment.

i never predicted that it would fail.

Yet you still sit around and play video games on your PS3 while posting on this message board.

Come on! It was a joke! Lighten up!

I read the article and it happened to remind me of this particular conversation, that's all.

You've got to admit: the guy got it horrifyingly wrong on every count.

Before there was facebook there was the Orangemane. We are very real people.

On one hand you say the beauty of the internet is your anonymity. Then on the other hand you are saddended by how disconnected we are from one another? Facebook like the orangemane is what YOU make it.

I think before a ban is laid out, shouldn't my feelings be considered? Kind of like pressing charges?

I found this hilarious if it helps the mods decide....

To be more clear, I love the community here. I am here every damn day....this is far better than facebook. If I managed to actually make friends with some living people here I would welcome that. But once I became friends with said person, I would be calling them and hanging out with them in real life.

Breathing oxygen together. Going to a movie. Playing Coop on Ps3(yes ps3 can be a social experience) etc....

Oh, so anyone with a facebook account immediately becomes a shutin, never uses it for communication or networking, or anything other than self promotion... That makes sense.

YOUR form of Communication is BETTER than facebook, even though they are a means to accomplish the same end.

I can't think of anyone I know who uses facebook as a basis for friendships, it is more of an auxiliary way to keep in touch, share links, post pictures of your friends etc.
For 31 you really are an old man.

lol...That is something I hear a lot....Last weekend I was sitting at a booth in the hottest club in Vegas for my friends bachelor party(His brother is a part owner) and I was bitching about what whores these girls were to try and get a seat at our booth and rubbing their vaginas in my face.

I am proud to be an old man, though....These kids today with their facebooks and their internets puzzle me. PAnts on the floor!

I just wanted to get in on another thread with some yahoo taking the lowest common denominator of social media user and using broad statements that are bull****.

400+ million people with no lives.

Awesome.
