Unlike the NBA, you almost never see big player-for-player trades in the NFL. Why? One of the biggest reasons is the "cap penalty" system. A player you trade counts against your cap for the prorated portion of his total guaranteed bonus money when you trade him. The cap hit is "accelerated." So with the uncapped season, and thus the removal of this disincentive for big multi-player trades, can we expect more blockbuster deals this offseason?
