I'd like it just for the Irony. Maybe sign him, get a few shots of him in a Broncos uni in training camp and then cut him.

**** you, Chargers. **** you.

If Shanny were here I think LT would be at the top of our list.

As it is, I would have no problem seeing him come in here for limited money and limited carries. I think it would be a beautiful F.U. to the Chuggers. I think LT would actually benefit us in the redzone, but thats about it.

He and Knowshon can take turns being the slowest guy in the backfield.

What about Shanahan's history with running backs even remotely suggests that he would want to bring in an overpriced has-been with no heart and diminishing skills?

Shanahan was the absolute king of late round power backs with a quick first step and the ability to break a tackle. LT is the absolute antithesis of what Shanahan went for in RBs.

Yea I know we are all suppose to hate Shanny now and all here at the mane.
But trying to diss anything Mike did as for as Hbs sounds stupid and uneducated about the Mike era.

No one got more out of less at the Hb position on the last decade than Shanny and no way he would want a aging prima donna when he would get twice the production out someone no one has ever heard of before.

Stop. Seriously. When you make childish assertion like the bolded above, you come off like a child.

Nobody "hates" Shanahan. I've yet to see ANYONE -- here or elsewhere -- say that they do.

Sorry, but quickly Michael Pittman (aging) and Maurice Clarrett (prima donna) come to mind. Pittman actually worked out and I regret the fact that Josh dropped him.

I wouldn't see Shanny taking this guy and making him the #1 tailback, but I don't see him just ignoring LT. I know LT has lost a step but he is still an effective short yardage back and still has great hands. I think those were and are qualities Shanny likes. Also Tomlinson appears (at least to me) to be a team player. I guess we'll see if there's any noise out of DC about Tomlinson.

Bottom line, any team in the league would be interested in LT if the price is right.

Side note: I don't think my saying that Shanny would be interested in Tomlinson is Shanny bashing. Shanny was interested in anything that might improve his team and he was smart about it when it came to HBs.

No but they all had that initial burst in their prime that got them through the holes. All RB's lose it, some sooner than others. LT is no different.

no, but they had one hell of a blocking system in place already to make them look good

they weren't without talent but let's be real, the system worked back then

they haven't exactly lit the league on fire after leaving Denver

No thanks to LT....but, I'd take Sproles in a heartbeat!

Sproles would be the perfect compliment to Moreno and he'd be great in the return game as well!

even as his play declined he still had a nose for the end zone. he still had
something like 13 TDs last season

Not even remotely close to similar situations. Of course Poops will agree, but then he has already proven himself to be nothing more than a cheerleader with a total disregard for the facts.

LaDanian Tomlinson is a probable Hall of Fame back who will command a large salary who is going to demand to be a featured back wherever he goes. Travis Henry was brought in as a complimentary player, who still had potential- was still a young man with everything left to fight for. He was never 25% of LT though.

Revisionist historians, have to love them
