For all the ridicule the Raiders received for drafting him, Janikowski is only one of five 2000 first round picks (Chris Samuels-WAS, Brian Urlacher-CHI, Shaun Ellis-NYJ, Keith Bulluck-TEN) still active with his original team.

Both of those guys are great. Actually a smart move signing them. Just not popular to know you are paying kickers so much.

Actually, I'd rate Lechler higher (better NFL player at his position) than Janikowski....

I doubt AJ franchises anybody. Will just give Merriman the highest tender which is 3.2 million which comes with a 1st & 3rd pick if somebody wants to sign him. I doubt anybody will give that up. I think he resigns Jackson hopefully Sproles too unless they want too much. Then he will get tendered as well.
