Just intrested on the thoughts of the OMane with regard to these players contracts.

I'm saying both ....... Though I think the Titans could squeeze another year out of CJ current deal. Marsh has put it up for 3 straight years. He'll get paid but, I don't think it will be with Denver.

i say Marshall deserves to get paid. i am always a little wary of giving new big money deals to RBs. they are the player most likely to completely fall apart once they get their new deal. also who can say that this year wasn't a fluke for Johnson. Marshall has proven he is badass 3 straight years

Well Brandon Marshall played out his contract, he will be a free agent March 5th so he will get a raise one way or another.

BM will get 1 yr contract offer from us. I doubt he will want that so for this reason I can see trade we'll see.

Chris Johnson is at his absolute prime, and has probably 2-3 years of this type of ability. He has vastly outperformed his contract, and has significant leverage should he hold out.

Marshall, on the other hand, has no leverage whatsoever. If he holds out, SFW. Who will we ever find to drop passes and be a constant pain in the ass? Shure he has all the potential in the world, but he is nowhere near the calibur player that Chris Johnson is.

If I was Cj, I would hold out for a new contract just based on the shelf life for RBs. He runs his freakin ass off and is a major game changer, who knows how long that will last.

Contract renegotiations go both ways. If the player is underperforming, the team will know the numbers down or cut outright. If the player is overperforming, I say go after the money. Shelf life in the NFL is too short.

You do know that Marshall is a free agent right? holding out is not really an option.

I think they should all get paycuts because they suck at what they do.

CJ has earned a new contract.

I said both, but I'm a little skeptical about paying Marshall. Obviously his problems... but he is a possession guy. A 1b receiver. Now, a bad ass deep threat to compliment Marshall, Royal, Gaffney and Stokes.... The pieces are there for a good offense. We just need to cater the o-line around that, and get a new LG and C.

BTW Marshall is a RFA.

Woodyard is a beast that goes all out on every play. Cept the Raiders TD on the game we lost was soley his fault.

Woodyard really doesn't seem to fit as a 3-4 LB all that well, even in nickle. He can't stay with the best TEs and he's too small to do damage in the running game. I think a 4-3 team with a need at WLB would be smart to trade a low round pick for him.

Royal wasn't really being underpaid for his contributions last year. The year before you would have had an argument.

Do these number take into account signing bonuses or are they just salary?

Move him to SS while the iron is still hot.

He'll get a raise for sure.
Things have changed in the last 6 months or so in regards to Marshall.
Marshall being gone looked like a sure thing a while back, it now seems as if Marshall will be a Bronco.
CJ had a tremendous year. Is he on his last year?
If so, he deserves a new contract.
