Rant over.

I just turned 38 years old....I think I stopped getting carded when I was right around 30 years old.

I guess you can take that as a compliment that you look younger than your age suggests

Some employees error on the side of caution because they are supposed to check anyone that is within doubt....they are just following orders and doing what they are supposed to do.

You're both in the system as meth makers.

I got carded at Target last month for DAYquil as well.

I just turned 39 and still get carded at liquor stores & grocery stores more than half the time. Bars...Not so much.

Get carded quite a bit for cigs at gas station/convenience stores too. Actually got carded buying a 99 cent throw away lighter at a Chevron a few months ago.

I mostly just laugh & tell them the fair would go broke if they were working the guess your age & weight booth.

Interesting phenomenon. I'm 30 and NEVER get carded for alcohol, but do get carded for cold medicine regularly.

Smart move the Feds only start looking into the people that buy 40 at a time. I tried buying day pills and night liquid at the same time and they wouldn't let me. Montana has a huge meth problem. I made it a point to go back through that line about 10 minutes later to get the day pills. I was sick as **** and pissed off.

i think law at a lot of these places is to card anyone under 40. so many of these places have been busted for selling to underage that rather than risk more fines they just card everyone.

Yeah, typically at places like Walgreens and Wal-Mart they have to ID up to 30 something.

My brother works at a Mexican Restaurant and they got their liquor license revoked because their bartender didn't card someone who looked older than they were...but was undercover. So places really err on the side of caution now.

I was actually surprised I wasn't carded while out to eat with the parents a week ago in a nice restaurant in Denver. I'm 25.

I had a beard at 19, was not carded in Vagas at that age....pretty much no where else since.

you arent getting carded to check your age for those meds, its to track people who are buying excessive amounts to make meth.

I got carded more at 28 than I did at 20. I started losing my hair at 20 and everyone assumed I was older than that. Then I started dating my (now) wife when I was 28 - she's 6 years younger than me, and looked younger than that too. So I'd get carded because she would get carded. I can't remember the last time I was carded at 36 now.

I think they card for the Sudafed cause it's one of the main components to making Meth. Your name likley went into a computer so if you hit multiple places the same day for it your name gets a red flag. Same goes for I think rock salt or some type of salt you use in making homemade icecream.

At least that's how they roll here in Cali.

I bought 1 box. She checked the birthdate. Besides, I stopped cooking meth when the Latin Kings took down M13 in my hood...

ha ha .... I don't think you can buy more then 1 box in any event that's why people hit multiple stores. Just saying.

Besides .... How hard is it really? you already have your wallet open to pay.

Yesterday it just hit me at the wrong time. Walmart makes me antsy...to the point I will throat punch a newborn to get out. But I did get Dante's Inferno, so that is probably what threw me off. I did not get carded for a game about hell, but did get carded for buying 12 cold pills...

Live in California or at least go to Hooters. I can be at the same Hooters watching the Broncos every Sunday and even have my 5 and 7 year old with me and they still card me. I am almost 40 years old and show the grey hair on the side. These are 20 year old waitresses and they do it for their job safety but seriously clerks and waitresses, do I really look YOUNGER than you?

Especially at Hooters, I'd just convince myself that they're thinking about asking me out and just want to know if I'm within the acceptable age range for a potential mate. :)

If you guys seen the laws you would card 100 year olds. the laws suck balls.

Anytime you buy the pills they card you even if you look 100 ... It has 0 to do with age ... So to the question when should they stop ... they shouldn't ever stop cause it has 0 to do with age.

Aside from Hooters I don't think I have been carded since turning 20 in a bar, at stores I have gotten carded a few times but mostly it is not an issue. I bought some booze not too long ago and the store had a sign saying they carted anyone who looked under 65, but they didn't card me, which I found offensive since I am still in my 20s.

I thought it was a law that cashiers had to card no matter what, maybe it is just an IL thing.

When I go out I like to get carded I look about 20 years younger than I am and it is nicer the older you get.

I'm thinking of starting a thread that has to do with "At what age do you WANT to start getting carded again".

Where I live, I get carded every time I buy Sudafed even though I have to buy it from the pharmacist directly. I found out that there's not even a central database to check against so it is all bs. I know its to cut down on meth labs but there are other ingredients that go into it. Why is nobody carded for buying a car battery or drano? It's only allergy sufferers we need to hassle?

Any one see that Green Police ad during the Super Bowl? That could very well be our future by the end of the decade. I'll turn over my incandescent light bulbs when they pry them from my cold dead hands.

WTF would you yell at someone for doing their job? Did you punch your boss in the throat last time he told you something that needed to be done?
