Yea, where would the Saints have been without his two rushes for a grand total of four yards? Is this thread a ****ing joke?

Wait a second six. He started 3 games, had 650 yards, and 5 tds while Bush was down. You mean to tell me that's nothing?

When Manning was a wee lad, he always wanted to throw the super bowl winning TD pass for the Saints.

he is what he is, a marginal back-up/role player. Sorry if I don't cream my pants every time some ex-Bronco scrub gets a Super Bowl ring. It's not like I have some deep personal connection with every player who ever played for the Broncos.

Yeah depth on a Superbowl winning football team is over rated.

The best part for me is that I won't have to hear how Peton Manning is the Greatest QB to ever play the game. Sportscasters and analysts would be on his wood for the next couple of months.

One thing that jumped out to me after the game was, during the post game interviews and analysis, I heard at least 5 or 6 times from different people the same thing:

"They earned everything they got.....nobody can say they won this cheaply, there should never be an asterisk besides this title, etc. because they faced and beat three HOF calibre QBs to earn the Lombardi.....blah blah."

Nobody can ever say that players don't listen to the media, etc. and take some of this stuff to heart. You can bet that, deep down, teams like the Patriots know that their rings will always be questioned and they will always feel like they have to try to justify themselves and their tainted titles.

He looked like the Mike Bell I remember on 3rd and goal when he slipped and fell on his ass for a loss on the play.

I loved Peyton Manning running off the field at the end of the game. Reminded me of Forrest Gump running from the bullies. It was almost instinctual. He just got up and was runnin'.

Yeah, Manning didn't even shake any hands. Complete BS. Look, I know losing that game hurt like nothing else, but win or lose, you walk over and shake your opponents' hand. Period.

Manning is a great one, but lost a lot in my book because of it. Elway went over and shook hands after Super Bowls, and he got demolished three times.

Amen to that. Manning is a wuss!

I hadn't thought of Bell. Everything I've seen or read this year is that he was a good team player. I screamed at Payton when Bell got a carry on the goal line in the second qtr rather than Thomas, but Bell has done work on short yardage all year. And he had some good games early on when Thomas was hurt.
