I think CJ is justified, but DeSean certainly isn't.

How is CJ justified? he signed a long contract, he should honor it, no matter how many records he sets.

No one is putting out big upfront $$$ this year from an owner's stand point (unless they're idiots, Al Davis, I'm looking right at you). If you expect a lockout in 2011, you're not handing out $30 million dollars this year. It's one of the reasons I don't think the Broncos will ink Marshall to a big deal this year. They'll tender him and hope he plays for $3 million or they'll take the 1st & 3rd.

I'm sure he will honour it, it doesn't say that he's threatening to hold out. He's just asking for a new deal. Teams cut players free form their contracts all the time, and they ask them to restructure them too. I too have a problem with the way contracts work in pro sports. To quoth the prophet, though, I don't hate the player, I hate the game.

Sounds like the Clinton Portis situation all over again.

i dont mind them looking for new contracts. This is football and one play could end their careers. They've earned much more than they make on the field. Get that money made.

The way I see it, both parties signed the contract with risks. CJ might get hurt on the 1st play, he would of still got 7 million(team risk)...but if he 'outperformed' his contract, he should still play out the years left and get paid then(player risk).

45 second mark. This movie was wise beyond its years.
