Hey all, I just won a contest recently on the fox, and they gave me a DOPE ass pair of icelantic skis, some dynastar bindings, and two free lift tix to Telluride.

PERSONALLY, my preference is somewhere closer, like Winter Park, Breck, Copper, or whatever. Never skiid telluride, but I'd rather not make the trip. With all of the people I know up in Grand County, I'd much rather do it locally...

SO

If anybody out there wants to swap tix for tix, I'd be totally stoked.

Sorry if this isn't appropriate taco, but I'll be happy to move it if necessary.

I would love to go but I have nothing to give and no time to take off :(

Is it worth the drive?

I've pretty much always skiid the stuff right around here, and steamboat.

It's not so much that i DONT want to ski telluride, but there's a few factors here...

A. I've got a free place to stay and party up in w.p. or steamboat
B. A few of my buddies all have the passes for the immediate area
C. I'm trying to get a group together, and not many people wanna fork over the extra cash since they HAVE passes already.

But, if it doesn't work out, I'm sure Telluride'll be awesome.

What would you just sell the tickets for?

Unfortunately, you can't get to Telluride from Denver.

Well, maybe you can get there, but it takes a really long time, and when we went it was summer (August '87 Grateful Dead shows). We drove and drove and drove, and were almost to Salida, but turned right and went across Monarch Pass. Then we drove and drove and drove and got to Montrose. We turned left there, and drove and drove and drove, and finally came to the road that goes East into the beautiful box canyon that is Telluride. Then we turned left again and drove and drove, and we were there. Went to the Floridora and drank lots of beer.

I think it took 7 or 8 hours.

You should probably just give them to me I'm only 3 hours away.

Telluride is just going to get more and more expensive (there are still a lot of cool locals). If you don't go now, who knows if you'll get to in the future.

Telluride sucks, bad attitude locals, overpriced lodging, food and bar scene and it is so far to get there. I would sell the tickets if at all possible and use the money to go to Winter Park.
