Ever watch someone slowly kill themselves on TV before?

If not, then by all means, watch this. Yikes!

Gotta admit I'm fascinated with the dude not only for what he can put down but also what he can't. He must just feel like S**T for days after some of those meals.

That is so true. I mowed down a large pizza to myself, along with a side of ten wings in a 24 hour period and my body felt out of whack for about the next two days. I cannot imagine how much this dude sweats it out when he's getting ready to drop a log.

It can't be good for his insides. If he keeps going like this, I doubt he makes it past 50.

You're right though, it is fascinating to watch him do this stuff in a sick, sorta macabre way.

He's gonna attempt to eat a 48 ounce steak in 20 minutes tonight....Yikes!

This would absolutely induce me into projectile vomiting---for DAYS!

He took that 48 ouncer down in just over 15 minutes.....could've been ten, but he was fooling around and talking a lot once it became apparent it was really no challenge for him. Pretty anti-climatic really.

That show is awesome

I try not to think about what goes on in his hotel bathroom later in the evening though

But I have only seen him fail at a couple challenges

Just finished watching Man v Food greatest moments. Seriously there is nothing about that job that I want. I can't decide what is worse, the challenges that are about sheer volume, or the ones that involve 5 million different types of habenero pepper. They both hurt me deeply.

After just coming from the Burgh, I gotta give some more props to this amazing show. Without it, I never would've had that totally kick ass south of the border 6 egg omlette @ DeLuca's on the Strip.

Love all those Travel Channel food shows.

All the Man vs. Food challenges are ridiculous, but it's honestly the spice challenges that impress me. Like the hot wings he ate with ghost chile on them. Ghost chile (bhut jolokia pepper) rate over 1,000,000 on the scoville heat scale. Compare that to a Jalepeno that is 2,500-8,000 or a Serrano that is never over 23,000 and you get the idea.

It's one thing (in my mind) to eat well past the point of feeling sick. Stupid, but I think I could do that if I set my mind to it. Eating food that burns my mouth/throat/lips nearly 50x worse than peppers that already send me running for milk? And then eating 6 more of them? Unthinkable.

I was watching it last night where the challenge was to eat four (4!!!) wings that were supposedly the hottest ever. He could only eat 2 and the area around his mouth was purple afterward!!

I've also witnessed this guy put on about 20+lbs over the course of the past couple of seasons. haha.

He does some crazy challenges. He had to do one where he ate 144 oysters. Or a 7lb breakfast burrito, or 6 wings coated in a habernero sauce.

Ha!

I'd actually just like to get a pic with him and ask him if there's anything he wouldn't eat. For instance, I've seen some of those burrito challenges and thought I could do it, but there's no way I can eat black olives or mushrooms. I wonder if he's ever gotten into a situation like that and if they would remove them and or subsitute something else for them for these challenges? Probably not, but it'd be interesting to hear his response.

After all, there isn't a person on the face of the Earth who likes and/or can eat everything
