The camera guy had a lot of sympathy too. Still laughing as the guy's mellon bounces off the weights and then does a little convulsing while hitting the floor. Awesome.

I like how his friend laughs at him. He probably broke his face.

Ouch.

Dude needs to learn how to incorporate power breathing techniques in order to regulate the tension. Holding your breath is a great way to take a face plant like that.

Anytime you see a t-shirt tucked into sweat pants, something bad is bound to happen.

its called the valsalva maneuver, powerlifters do it (and so does everyone naturally when they pick something heavy up or lift soemthing heavy) to increase intra-abdominal pressure. if he breaths in the middle of that lift he misses it completely.

he needs to learn not to scream and move around after several seconds of not breathing while lifting heavy, you take a seat and get it back together before doing that ****.

No. We would have only got it up to 6/8ths of the full extension, then staggered ... and raised it to full extension (8/16ths) ... THEN face planted!

Terrible form. Pull from the waist. He just did a massive lower back crunch.

So that's what happens when you drink a lot of Jack and then do a power lift. Next time I'm feeling nice I'll make sure I stay away from the weights. ;D

You actually slowly exhale through the pull, and I have seen many yells and fist pumps after PRs in competition right after the lifter sets the bar down.

slowly enough as to not release your IAP, which i imagine would help with the passing out, but either way anytime i max (reps, sets, or just go really really heavy) on anything lower body related i need a seat. most of those people are prolly high on adrenaline at the time, like the crazy olympic lifters who just 8 feet off the ground after completing a lift.

Yea, this. Rounded back, horrible form. Wasn't even that much weight (well, more than I can DL, but at least I have good form). He deserved what he happened to him, he's lucky he didn't destroy his back, although with the way he's lifting, I'm sure it will happen sooner than later.

He didn't lose his back that much for a max DL, I have seen far worse with people just doing reps. Yeah the weight wasn't much at all, but at least he is trying.

When he's not wearing that, he's sporting the jorts.

yea for a max effort, really wasnt taht bad. max effort form is never picture perfect, people do what it takes to get the lift up, not what is 100% safe or perfect.
