The writer acknowledges that Little was an elite talent, but feels his actual production is not HOF worthy.

Sadly yes..over the likes of Richard Dent, John Randal, Kevin Greene, Chris Doleman, Leslie O'Neal and Rickey Jackson.

Pathetic...

Production...

Joe Namath threw 173 TD's to 220 INT's and had a career QB rating of 66.5... all that with a career completion % of 50.1.

Wooo he beat Unitas.

He's also in the Hall of Fame.

Any current era QB with those stats probably isn't even in the league that long.

A ton of old school people in the HOF had **** for stats and got in based on memories, impact during a time... which is what Little fits into.

Ahhh, so the stats come in to play. Don't look at the contribution to the team or the era. Well I guess if the "actual production" is the key, TD should be in and Rod Smith will be in if Irvin is in. No, I think their biggest problem is....they are Broncos.

I still say it's because he is a Bronco. Put Little on a crappy Patriots team with the same numbers and he's first ballot HOFer...

I know its preaching to the choir but Little was a "Franchise" player decades before anybody knew what a franchise player was. Those little bowed legs carried this club.

And if he'd followed his other Syracuse predecessors to Cleveland he'd have been 1st ballot too.
