I'm just glad to see Pat Paschall (NDSU) on the field. He has put in a lot of hard work to get this opportunity and has done very well for the Bison the past two years. Hopefully he can make some things happen, you're right -- nobody too flashy thus far.

Bronco fans don't need this. Josh has his shortlist

Preety boring...when are the other all-star games?

Is that Brian Griese in the booth?

Indeed and fewer picks as well. Maybe he can fit them on a matchbook this time...the torch it and go by memory Mission Impossible style.

He's so awesome!

Announcer just said Freddie Barnes of Bowling Green reminded him of Rod Smith!

Suh and G. McCoy gone by 2 according to McShay

That would be Brian Griese saying that ;D

It's funny, I think he made the pick because he covered the wrong Zone ROFL! I know he blew another coverage later and the FS was like dude you had the inside and I had the outside LOL

O'Brian Schofield is the player and he can rush the passer. I am absolutely stunned they made him play outside LB in this game. Oh well, the practices are always more important than the game anyway.

Skelton from Fordham is getting ready to play when the East gets the ball.

I remember he had his own thread awhile back.

LOL

Hope his dog isn't anywhere near the booth.

Skelton has some pretty bad footwork. He just stepped up in the pocket into pressure.

I should have stated that Schofield is the only one that made a play that point.
Not impressed with a lot of the players on the field today.

They look really bad.

Is this the "premier" all-star game?

Requiem
01-23-2010, 03:17 PM
No. Senior Bowl is. Most of these guys are late-round or mid-round picks, if that. The amount of juniors who came out this year are going to make it hard for these turds to get drafted.

No this is second rate one. The senior bowl next week is the premier game. But you usually get one or two guys from the smaller schools that show up during this week, that make scouts go take another look at them.

Anybody else notice Ray Crockett on the sidelines with Marty Ball?

Requiem

I thought that was Corey Chavous.

It looked like ray...It could have been Corey. McShay just said that Marlon McCree is a coach for the DB's...

Yeah, I saw McCree's name as DB coach on the rosters earlier.

i was reading a strength training book, but same thing applies to all sports. some of the absolute best coaches were poor to mediocre athletes themselves, but given that they often times worked their asses off anyway and developed the verbal and coaching cues that superb athletes dont need in order to perform motor skills, because they often come naturally to those who are great athletes, not to mediocre ones.

I have gotten to see Freddie Barnes, WR, Bowling Green play in a lot of games and one of the things that always impresses me is his hand strength.

I think he showed that in today's game as well, from what I saw.

I missed the first half....but recorded it.

I could see Freddie Barnes stock rising into the 3rd round.

I would have no problem with Denver drafting him.

Freddie somehow didn't even get invited to the combine

I wonder if he will get a late invite?

You would think that 155 catches for 1770 yards and 19 TDs this past season would earn you an invite.

That can't be true... where'd you hear this?

He's one of the most intriguing guys, imo. Not very quick with poor straight line speed, but he knows how to find soft spots in zones and sit in them (probably from his time at QB).

I don't see him on the list of invitees as of right now.
