View Full Version : Wembley Ticket Talk: Broncos Vs. Niners in London!

Ok...this is a major concern on our part. What do we do and is it going to be difficult to get tickets for this game. We don't want to fly all the way to London and not be able to go to the game!

I'll tell you what I know but it ain't much....

I believe that the previous games have all sold out so i wouldn't advise anyone to fly over if the ticket is not secured.

I haven't got mine yet, but I have registered an interest with www.nfluk.com - if you can do this from the US then do as it should at the very least give you notice via email when the tickets go on sale and hopefully a shot to buy some.

I have no idea whether any are available via SF or the broncos themselves or the usual US channels for tickets - I would assume that season-ticket holders get theirs automatically but then again I'm not sure....

Sorry I can't be more help! Its still early though...I'm sure more details will arise in time.....

It won't let me register an interest yet?
It says coming soon?
It has the old game on there.

Sassy, give the Bronco Office a call and check with their ticket reps or their marketing dept.

I will see how many i can get as a season ticket holder. It would be nice if those that can get them, get them for others. If I dont go to London, I will put in a request.

You're right, they're still referring to last year's game - looks like an error to me....

However, it wouldn't surprise me if the rules and process was the same as last year, so you may find you can get tickets at www.ticketmaster.co.uk when they go on sale in a week or two....

However I wouldn't wait - get in in touch with the Broncos and the 49ers and find out about availability stateside - it may all work very differently that side of the pond...

Keep me posted, it definitely would be a great trip with you. Those SD games we go to each year are a highlight but London would be amazing...

Are you saying you're going Cliff?

Somedays I feel really good about it and others I tend to believe there's no chance in hell in landing tickets. We're still focused on going, but I've also discussed making contingency plans with Sass just in case things do not go well ticketwise for this game.

Hmm...I don't know haven't even looked into tix yet. I just figured that there would be some avenue thru the Broncos tix office in Denver. I'm kinda new at this Bronco home game in London stuff. Or are the niners home in london. What the heck?;D

On the positive side of things, airfare seems to be dropping as I'm now getting flights for around $715. That's an improvement over the prices I was seeing before.

I spoke to Sass a little and I agree with her, securing game tickets first would be a priority. It appears tickets will be on sale the first week of February and prices are around $130 - $160 USD per ticket (Conversion from British Pounds).

Spoke to my dad about it and he was excited about the team playing in London. Group tickets would be a great idea so lets keep working on those game tickets before we go any further...

Please keep us posted Dave.

Okay, I talk to the person who set us up on my Paris trip up in October of 2008. She works for a non-profit organization in my community that has a "travel club" I do a lot of work with the organization and caught wind that the travel club was going to Paris and asked what I had to do to join them...blah, blah, blah. Anyway I called her and told her about the game and she told me she would make some calls to some airlines and hotels and see about group rates. She asked how many, I said 15-20. I also told her we were from all over the U.S. and that we would all most likely be flying in from all over. She said that wasn't a problem. She would also try and hook us up for some city tours if everyone was into that.

What I need to know from people is:

1) Are you seriously THINKING about going, you don't have to commit at this time. We are just trying to get a rough number

2) Do we want to do Monday, October 25 - Monday, Nov. 1 or do we want Friday, October 29 - Friday, November 5 or any other "days"

3) Where will you most likely be flying out of.

The price would depend on how many people would be going.

I know the ticket issue has come up, but I am willing to take my chances on not having tickets and hanging out with fellow Bronco fans across the pond

Let me know what you think.

I am in for 2, but we are thinking about sat-wed (11 days) I can fly out of anywhere.......CLE, DET, PIT, CMH (columbus), CVG (cinci), PHL, EWR (newark), BUF, ORD (ohare/chicago) it really dont matter to me.........for example i was looking out of cle its 749 r/t out of EWR its 599 so 150 isnt worth the drive.......but if its 2, 3, 4 or more people all doing it, its totally worth it.

At least 1 or 2 on my end. I appreciate the offer to help with travel but more than likely I'd be flying one way to London and flying out of munich or maybe poland or Ukraine on the way back. Much too complicated for any travel agent to work with on a group deal. I suppose hotel/game tickets could be different.

We discussed it for quite awhile and just came to the conclusion that we could do two games stateside for essentially what it would run us to go over there. We'll do Europe at some point in the future (especially if the lockout goes down) but for now, I think we're just planning on doing OMane Weekend and maybe the AZ game, depending upon where that falls on the schedule, of course.

That's the verdict as of this AM anyways....there's a slight chance that could change, but I highly doubt it.
