The whole team choked today. Dumb penatlies galore. Kaeding misses all his FGs. Even Rivers made some errors.

The Charger boards are melting down. And they're not happy with anyone...players, coaches, or Nate Kaeding...

Weird thing is, it's like deja vu all over again. Same thing happened to Marty when we went 14-2 then choked that game away to the Patriots.

So what's the constant? The players...

Well, making hte playoffs is nice. And it does represent a better season than ours. However, the Chuggers were built to win and win now. They lost to a rookie QB. And no matter how you cut it, they laid an egg when they should be moving on.

You guys don't know what hurt really is. Try losing 4 superbowls. That's hurt. It's a good thing we won 2 in a row to remove the sting. I'm afraid that the only thing that will make your hurt go away is to win it all. It's an amazing feeling when all of that burden of losing is lifted as your team wins the Superbowl. Yes, those are things in the past but they do help you down the road. They are fun to remember during the tough times. Every year I break out my Superbowl DVD's and remember how it was. Maybe someday you will get to own one of those DVD's. Maybe.

Definitely, Turner might've made all the difference. He and Sproles would be a wicked combo.

You can understand why they kept an icon like LT ... but I'm reminded of the 49ers approach in the 80s and 90s. They never shied away from bumping HOF guys, Montana, Lott, Rice ... and they kept winning.

I'd like the Broncos to have done what they have donw, though. Winning all those AFCWest titles, winning a couple playoff games. But I think they lost three playoff games at home, and two to the NYJ's, right? Both times because Kaeding missed easy field goals. And I think they lost to NE when a safety fumbled an interception late in the 4th quarter. Bumbling, stumbling and fumbling.

Yep. Simms was actually ROOTING for the Chargers. "I wouldn't have thrown that flag" when Jackson kicked the challenge flag. Uh, Phil? He went out of his way to kick the flag. That's the definition of unsportsmanlike conduct. Feel free to pull your head out of your ass at any time.

And by the way, did anyone notice that Phyllis touched the ref when he was arguing that incomplete/interception? Should have seen the Volek-tricity.

That Jets Oline looks like the Hogs of the 80s that made Riggins a star.

Jets Oline is a smallish, athletic, ZBS line. Not the big maulers of the Hogs.

Many of the running plays looked surprisingly familiar. Kind of like 2008 Denver

Not so much:

Center Jeff Bostic, guards Russ Grimm and Mark May, tackles Joe Jacoby and George Starke, and tight ends Don Warren and Rick Walker comprised the original Hogs. While Starke retired in 1984 shortly after the team won their third NFL Championship in Super Bowl XVII, Bostic, Grimm, Jacoby, and Warren stayed together until the early 1990s.

The line averaged 273 pounds in 1982 [2] not including the massive 6' 7" Jacoby, who joined the team later weighing in at around 300 pounds.

The Jets Oline:
RT - Damien Woody - 330
RG - Brandon Moore - 305
D - Nick Mangold - 305
LG - Alan Faneca - 305
LT - D'Brickashaw Ferguson - 310

Anyway, my point is that, regardless of the blocking system they utilize on a play, they are getting their RB into the secondary before the first touch. On Shonn Greene's 53 yard breakout, the first tackler who got to him was (I believe) the S. He broke that tackle and was gone. And you're right, that's what the SB winning Bronco Oline could do as well. The current Broncos Oline is lucky to be able to get a yard when they need it. Often times as not, they can't.

We saw what the Jets could do when they needed to get one yard to seal the victory. They crushed the Charger Dline.

Perfect way to describe this team......full of punks, led by the Punk-in-chief, Phil Rivers.

God, they are so easy to hate. 2 of the mouthiest guys in football.....Rivers and Shaun Philips. Classless a-holes. From Rivers screaming tantrum at the ref on the interception, to Philips head-butting, to Vincent Jackson kicking the red flag. All ****ing jerks......

Years ago, I used to feel kind of bad for the Chargers, and I never really had reason to DISlike them.....but boy, I can't stand this team. I NEVER want to see Rivers win the big one......he's an obnoxious jerk now, imagine if he ever one the big one.

Yep. Simms was actually ROOTING for the Chargers. "I wouldn't have thrown that flag" when Jackson kicked the challenge flag. Uh, Phil? He went out of his way to kick the flag. That's the definition of unsportsmanlike conduct. Feel free to pull your head out of your ass at any time.

he did say that the completion/fumble shouldn't have been overturned though....which it really shouldn't have.

Maybe.

They can go and buy onee. Of course it will be of Denver or another team.....

Don't let that Sparkie fan fool you. These barbs (haterade) sting badly, deeply and widely, and will hurt for a looooong time.

What can I say? I love the fact that the Jets beat the chuggers, IN Sandy Eggo! No matter how good the chuggers' season has been up to this point, it's all moot now.

11 game winning streak, arguably the best team in the NFL during that stretch, pretty much everyone one is healthy going into the playoffs, and they manage to choke away their SB aspirations to the J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS!

There's simply no excuse for this loss. None. Nada. Zip.

Good teams win in the playoffs. What does this say about the chuggers? Oh yah, it says this: "Most talented team in the NFL to never win a conference championship, let alone an NFL championship."

Wow, that really sucks...

I suggest you watch the play. The dude got great blocking from all 3 interior olineman. I mean he through the hole and 2 yrds deep into the defense before he was touched.

Give knowshon some holes like that and for sure he will rip through them.

Did you see the hit the running back gave the last guy on defence? That is what I was talking about.
