He's only been in office for one year! Yet, I wonder what the Obama doubters and haters would have done if Obama's immediate actions in his 12 months in office would have been to go after the culprits and causes on why America's economic, financial, and dollar decline are hemorrhaging as we speak by legislating the following:

-Roll back the Reagan Marginal Tax rate,
-Cut the Military Spending and Weapons procurements by 50%,
-Applied a .50 tax on all trades and transactions conducted on wall street,
-Applied a 50% tax rate on all bonuses for the banks and wall street.
-Repealed the Reagan Import tax tariffs on all foreign and U.S. products and
goods coming into America.
-Invest in entrepreneurs, corporations, and small business with tax
incentives and capital who chose to keep, invest, and grow their
companies in the U.S. ONLY!
-Invest u.s. tax dollars to create jobs to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure
-Invest in U.S. wherewithal and ingenuity to establish and bring to fruition a Green Industry of the 21st century.

What would you Reagan Nomics believer had done then? You guys do realize that due to the advantages in terms of taxes and spending exhibited by all the aforementioned over the last 30 years is why America now finds herself in the economic, financial, and domestic conditions AS WE SPEAK!

Perhaps all you Reagan Nomics and Free Market conservatives-independent Republican voting disciples should count your lucky stars that Obama is not going in that direction. All you Reagan Nomics fools and apologist should be quite happy and excited that over the last 28 years due to the Reagan Tax cuts for Corporations and the wealthiest amongst us, has now allowed these "Powers That Be" to become so influential, they now have the power to make a sitting President Create Another Eventual Bubble Economy to a mass even more wealth and power all on the backs of the American workers who earn btwn "Minimum wage" and 150K.

Whoever said PIMPING wasn't easy Lied, b/c the Corporations and the Rich and Powerful having been PIMPING the U.S. tax payers and voters who earn btwn minimum wage and $150K for the last 28 plus years; and not even a sitting U.S. President can stop them.

Yep! welcome to the world of Unfettered-Predatory Republican Capitalism where its currently designed to eat anything in its path that stands in the way of pure profit margins, greed and power. This is the capitalistic system all you Reagan Democrats, Corporate Democrats, Conservative-Red State-Bible Thumping Republicans, and Predatory Capitalist Republicans have been voting for from 1981-2008! And your Crime is, you stood silent for over 28 years and have now allowed the country's financial, economic, and domestic well being to be pushed ever so closely over the Abyss.

invest in America huh? dude he's spent more then anyone ever.

Cut defense? He just asked for the biggest defense budget ever.

Raise peoples taxes? He's doing and done that bro

Tax wall street transactions? yeah let's send trading to some other market where its cheaper. That would be smart.

The only problem with Obama is he's a liar and has no idea what he's doing.

We are being taxed to death as it with more coming if Obama and the democrats get their way. And if you still buy that "only taxing the rich" garbage, you deserve to have your taxes increased if that much a bozo.

The total spending by all presidents from 1789 through 2008 totals:

$96.1 trillion

And remember, I didn't adjust for inflation between 1789 and 1912, so the total is actually considerably greater.

Now, Obama's fiscal 2010 budget calls for total Federal spending of $3.6 trillion. Even if such spending were maintained for eight full years (assuming Obama serves two terms), the total Obama spending would be:

$28.8 trillion

Is that "more than all other presidents combined?" Um, nope. Not even close.

And if anyone thinks $28.8 trillion is still too high, 2008 spending was $2.7 trillion, or $21.7 trillion if maintained over eight years.

Cut defense? He just asked for the biggest defense budget ever.

Does this fact not tell you and I just how powerful and influential the "Military Industrialize Complex" has become? Remember Eisenhour warned this nation about the raising corrisive power and influence the MIC was becoming way back in 1960. How would propose a sitting President or Obama tell the MIC in Congress and the Pentagon and Corporate weapons procurements/industry to go F*@k themselves...There's a new Sherriff in Town?

Raise peoples taxes? He's doing and done that bro.

Sure, why not raise taxes on the wealthiest people and Corporations in this country back to where it was in 1980 before Reagan turned the marginal tax rates up side down by stiffing people from minimum wage to $150K with increased taxes to pay for the shortfall left b/c his wealhty friends and corporations haven't paid their fare share for over 25 years and counting.

Tax wall street transactions? yeah let's send trading to some other market where its cheaper. That would be smart.

Meh! I have yet to hear this would be the outcome. If possible plz provide a link(s) that shows this would take place.

Reagan already put the tax burdent he lifted off the wealthiest amongst us and placed the tax burden on minimum wage earners to people earning up to $150K!

I'm advocating reversing/appealing the Reagan Tax cuts back to where they were back in 1980. The minimum wage earners to people earning $150K were a lower marginal tax rate than the wealthiest Americas and Companies were paying.

Republicans are using the T-word – taxes – to attack the Obama healthcare program. It’s a strategy based in a lie. A very small niche of America’s uber-wealthy have pulled off what may well be the biggest con job in the history of our republic, and they did it in a startlingly brief 30 or so years. True, they spent over three billion dollars to make it happen, but the reward to them was in the hundreds of billions.

TB have you ever heard of the "Rich Person’s Tax Effect"? It goes something like this:

If a person earns so much money that he doesn’t or can’t spend it all each year, then when his taxes go down your income after taxes goes up. This is largely because there’s little to no relationship between what he “needs to live on” and what he’s “earning.”

Somebody living on a million dollars a year but earning five million after taxes, can sock away four million in a Swiss bank. If his taxes go up enough to drop his after-tax income to only three million a year, he’s still living on a million a year, and only socks away two million in the Swiss bank. His “disposable” income goes down when his taxes go up, and vice-versa. (Technically, the word is “discretionary” income for after-tax, after-living-expenses income, but “disposable” income has become so widely used as a phrase to describe discretionary income I’ll use it here.)

The Rich Person’s Tax Effect is the one that virtually all Americans understand – and, oddly, most working class people think applies to them, too (which is the truly amazing part of the con-tax job sold to America by the Regan tax cuts over the last 28 plus years).

So how's does wanting to repeal the Reagan Tax Con job perputrated on Americans in the income levels from minimum wage to $150K supporting Socialism?
