Finally, after much time of trying to figure out how to upload the damn pics (I can't beleive how easy it really was), here is my Bronco Paradise!

Picture 1- Opening the basement door and looking down the stairs:

Picture 2- a view straight ahead as you reach the bhottom of the steps.
Brief description: Authentic TD autographed jersey. All the mini helmets above the jersy on the shelves are autographed. Original (not the imitation one's made now) Shannon Sharpe Bronco head located on the top right corner of the couch.

Picture 3- Autographed Mile High seat back by John Elway. he only signed 77 seat backs with the #7 seats. There is a picture of John signing the seat and this one is number 57/77.

Picture #4- On top of the TV on the left is a sculpture made by McFarlene of Eddie MacCaffrey with some fin face trying to tackle him. On the right is a sculpture of Portis also by MacFarlene. In the middle is a cool lazor engraved wooden football that commemorates our 2 SB titles.
On the shelf above the TV are all 7 Helmets the broncos have used in games since the EST year of 1960. Above that is a plaque with the uniform that goes with the helmet.
Two sculptures from the Danbury mint bookend the helmets.

Picture 6- View from the steps as you walk down and look left.

Far shot of the Sharpe auto jersey.
9 autographed footballs. 6 full sized- Elway, TD, Romo, Rod Smtih, Portis, and Shannon. 3 Mini footballs from super bowl 32 signed by Elway, TD and Eddie McCaffrey.
2 Full sized authentic helmets on top of the couch that is signed by the team.

picture 7- Same view point just panned a little right.

All the mini helmets on the top shelves are autographed. Some were team autographs others are individual autographs. Under the shelves up top you will see a full sized helmet in a mirror case. That is an Elway retirement Helmet that is autographed by John. It has all his stats etc. The flash may have screwed the view of the helmet up a bit but I think i have a close up of it later.

picture 8- same vantage point just further right.

Some of the same, but i forgot to mention the drawing in the middle above the couch. It was done all in pencil. Unbeleivable picture/painting signed by the artist. It's got a couple shots of Shanny, Elway, TD Sharpe and Rod Smith and also has BOTH Lombardi trophies.

Pic 9- View from the corner where the Elway retirement helmet is located.

On the far right is one of my most prised posessions. An Elway autographed authentic jersey from the 80's. If you look closely at the bottom of the frame you will se 2 dark pictures. It is pictures of me and john shaking hands.
On the shelves are a bunch of bobble head dolls and other nick nacks. You'll see a couple close ups later.

phillybroncosnut
12-31-2003, 10:19 PM
pic 10- A closeup of the previous picture. If you will look closely, I'm sure someone can locate a thing or 2 in this picture that they will KILL me with.
But, under the picture of Mile high, there is a sculpture that is one of the nicest pieces I've ever seen. it's made by the Danbury Mint. It is a 10 Player sculpture of (from left to right), Easy Ed, Shannon, TD, Stinky, Elway, Shanny, Mobley, Romo, Neil Smith and Atwater. It's ONE piece.

Another beautiful piece made by Danbury mint, is located in front of the bobble heads. It is a 6 car train decked out in nothing but Bronco stuff.

This is a 1970's Bronco poster that is signed by the 1977 super bowl Denver broncos. There are pictures of the guys signing the poster boardering the frame.

Picture 12-

A custom made, authentic 3 Amigo's jersey that is autograpghed by each "amigo". There are also pictures of mark jackson, Ricky nattiel, and Vance Johnson signing this jersey. There are only 200 of these around.

Picture 13-

Eddie McCaffrey authentic autographed jersey.

Picture 16

Plate set of John Elway on top. Made by the Bradfor Exchange. Diecast aire planes and jets. A few trucks. I have a lot more but my son has "stolen" alot of them. I can't find them anywhere. Probably in a vcr or toaster somewhere.

That Danbury Mint piece is a beauty. If I didn't know better, I would swear that the bobblehead next to Steve Atwater is wearing a number 14 jersey.

picture 17-

Right in the middle is a copy of the Denver Post when we beat the Pakers in SB 32. On either side of that is a hard cover commemorative SI for SB 32 and 33.
Unbelivable sculpture of Mile High in front of the Denver Post paper.
To the right of the Mile High sculpture, you should see 2 Baseballs. One is signed by shannon shapre. that ball has blue and orange seems. pretty rare. Whats more rare is the baseball next to it. It is a handpainted picture of John Elway. It is signed by the artist and there are only THREE (3) in existance. this one is numbered 1/3.
The next shelf down are alot of John Elway Starting Lineup action figures (NOT DOLLS!). Some are open and some are still in original box. Nicky got to alot of these as well. I had alot more but they have vanished.

Okay, I had a real cheap coffee table from Target and had it put away in the garage. one day my wife was bored and she painted the Broncos logo on it.
The frame on the table is actual Mile High stadium grass and tix to the game I attended in 1999.
The Saturday before the game me and my Dad walked right into the stadium by the south stands and I walked up and down the field picking grass and stuffing it in my pockets. i went to the nearest office max and got the grass laminated then I framed it with the tix.

Okay people, scary thought here, that is only about 60% of my collection. I didnt want it too cluttered so i couldn't put everything up. I really wish I had an area to hang all my jerseys. Maybe I will just mount a long bar somewhere in the room and hang them on hangers. I have over 100 hats as well that I have zero room for.

Hope you enjoyed the pics. Go Broncos.

The 8x10 of Lelie that I have is very rare. He is in his Blue jersey but he is wearing his rookie number (or the number he was assigned first) which is #10. Not sure I would sell it for even $75 at this point. Could you imagine having Shannon Sharpes auto on a 8x10 while he is wearing a #1 jersey? You would have to overwhelm me for me to even consider selling it.
I'm not trying to haggle here but it is very rare and I'm not sure I could let it go.

Yeah, that is a downfall but I pretty much stay on top of it. Once a week I'll do a quick run over for the dust and about once a month I will take everything down and dust everything. It's a pain in the ass but well worth the trouble.

One word to the wise here. Make sure you know who you are buying autogrphes from. A certificate of authenticity is nothing more then a piece of paper for the most part. I'm not saying that your source is fraudulant BeerGirl, I am just throwing caution to the wind.
I only purchase an autograph if the company meets my strict criteria:
1- If it is a big name company on the COA, Mounted Memories, Upper Deck authenticated, Stiener, etc, you can bet it's real.
2- If it is a very reputable company. I buy some of my stuff from 2 sources in the Denver area. One being MRAK sports and the other being Denverautographs.com.
3- MOST (not all) of the time if there is a picture of the athlete signing, it should be authentic. But make sure the item you are buying has a picture of the athlete signing that item. I can't tell you how many times I have seen people selling autograghed helmets and they have a picture of the guy signing a jersey.
4- If I obtain the autograph myself. That way I know 100% that it is real.

One rule to go by is if it is too good of a deal, it's most likely a fake. I don't mind spending more money for the real thing. If you pay $70 for an autographed John Elway Mini Helmet, chances are you just paid about $50 more then a mini helmet actually costs. The autograph isnt real so all you bought is a mini helmet.

The best thing about denverautographs.com is that their items are 1000% authentic but their prices are lower then most everyone I have seen. I don't really know how Ed does it. Maybe he is actually a guy who isn't in it for the money.
If anyone is interested in authentic Bronco items and doesn't really want to spend an arm and a leg, visit their site. Or as BeerGirl mentioned, check out his auctions on EBAY. To check out his auctions just go to Ebay.com and click on the "search" button up top. Then click the "by seller" tab and type in denverautographs.com as the seller name. It will bring up all his auctions. He usually has 100's of items at any given time.

I have purchased alot of autographed mini helmets and I beleive that I bought the 3 amigo's jersey, the Shannon Sharpe jersey and Atwater jersey from Ed.
He has a ton of Av's and Rockies stuff too.

Just thought I would help any of you out if you were in the market.

Tell him I sent you and that you are a member of Orangemane.com and maybe he will become a member here.

He's a nice guy. I went in the other day & he's not pushy about selling you anything. He tells you stories about the players & listens when you're telling him stuff--He helped me choose which pics to get (was buying Christmas presents). When I had bought my avs tickets from him a few months ago, via ebay, we exchanged a few emails & I sent Robb to pick up the tickets. Robb said he was a real nice guy too. Of course, I've only dealt with him those two times, but he was more than helpful & accomodating.

On ebay all he's got right now are pics & avs tickets...
If you ever need a hookup for an avs game, he's the way to go too...the seats are probably the last row in the place, but I think he's got a whole row of them that he has bought.

I would send him an email. I know he had a few jersies in the "seasonal" store in the mall the other day--I should go visit his store over on Colfax.

Most of these guys love the attention. I doubt Tyrone would even blink.

He was a tenatious player, if not overly gifted.

I've heard of Concordville but I'm not exactly sure how far it is.

I would assume you would take the New Jersey Turnpike to the Pennsylvania Turnpike right? If so, you would get off at the Doylestown/Jenkintown/Willow Grove exit of the PA Turnpike. I think it is still Exit 27. I think you are probably closer to 3 hours away instead of 2. Not sure though. You could mapquest it if you wanted. Just type in Willow Grove PA as the destination.

ORANGE! Or BLUE.

I have to give a bit of a sad update here though. A few months back, during a big smow storm here, my sump pump line froze and dumped 12" of water back into my basement. What a complete nightmare. I didn't notice it until I went down in my basement to watch TV and there was standing water right at the top of the first step. I nearly had a heart attack (No lie). My first thought was to run down and shut the breaker off so no electric was on in the basement. then, as I got to the bottom of the steps, I looked over and saw one of my surge protector's submerged in the water. The freaking thing was foaming and bubbling. needless to say, I didn't wade into the water. Good thing I saw the surge protector or I might not be here today.
I had to call PECO (the PA electric company) and they came out and said the only thing the could do (and they had to do it, i had no choice) was to chut off all the power to my house until I got an inspector out to make sure there was no fire risk. this all happened at 11 O'clock at night so obviously, I couldn't get an inspector out till the next day.
What's worse is that my wife was being induced for labor to have our second child the next day. It's not fun having no power, Lights, TV, HEAT, etc in the winter.
The inspector came out and cleared everything but PECO being PECO told me they couldn't guarantee that they could come out for another 2 days because it wasn't an emergency. I wanted to kill someone for real.
My next mission was a little issue with how to get 12" of standing ater out of a basement with no power. Luckily, we have great neighbors and they let me run an extension cord from their house to my basement. It took several hours to get all the water out.

On the bright side, No Bronco items were damaged because they are high enough off the ground. Unfortunately, I did lose about 12 game tapes because they were on the bottom shelf of my TV stand.
I also lost, 2 TV's, My computer, 2 printers, a scanner, sofa, love seat, had to tear up all my carpeting as well. Also, I had to cut 2 feet from the ground up the dry wall and rplace it with new dry wall, and tear out all the instalation and replace that.

So thats the update. Thank god None of the Bronco stuff was effected. Some of that stuff is not replacable.

The joys of being a homowner.

Broncoman13

You ask me about the team and we are going to blow this thread up!!! I'm phucking hot right now about the team. Too many kids that (2) that don't give 100 % and they have the ability to be real players. One kid can get from 1st to 3rd in less than 7 seconds. Put him in the field and he dogs it. He wants to catch.... but can't! He belongs in the OF but won't hustle even a little for the ball... practice or a game.

Last game we were down by 2 line drive off the fence and a kid on second allows himself to get thrown out at home..... didn't bother to even slide. Guess what we did for two hours tonight at practice!!! Every kids knows about six different ways to slide now, only problem with that is now all of them are crying about strawberry's on their asses!

You want some more???

And I don't have any homosexual tendensies, I'm just not afraid to be stupid and make a scene! PHUCKER!

2 has already happened. Complaints filed to FCA, the board, and BCO. We have another kid on the team that can hit the ball a ton (he was the one that one hopped the fence the other night) problem with him is he just had a car accident and was wheelchaired for a long time. His parents are claiming that we are sitting him out b/c of his accident, not the fact that he has trouble running. Did I mention that he would have only got a single on that hit? Now everytime we sit a kid he and one of the problem childs parents are standing behind the dugout. FRUSTRATING!

Parents really do ruin sports for kids and adults who "DONATE" their time to teaching/babysitting their kids.
It's to the point that coaches are "saints" on earth to have to deal with the BS that some parents (who have the next Barry Bonds for a son) dish out.

Grin and bear it dude. You have to do your best to not let it get to you. It's hard to tune them out but if you can, your world will be a lot better. Even if you can't totally tune them out, just act like you can't hear them. They will make huge asses out of themselves by making comments loudly.

Broncoman13

Honestly it doesn't bother me all that much. I just wish the kids would get it through their heads that as they get older the best player doesn't always get his way. If you dog it in practice and don't try to get better you get benched, that starts as early as Highschool.

I have to say that you have it worse then me.

Being the head coach of a high school team, alot of those problems don't exist for me (parents whining). The parents already know if their kid is a player or not.
I also coached american legion (16 year olds to 18 year olds) and thats pretty much the same deal.

The younger kids are where the problem lies. You always, and i do mean always have a set or 2 of parents who want to relive their childhood through their own kid. They also have a nonsensical (is that a word) belief that their son has MLB written all over him.
These parents just don't get it. Don;t they realize that the real meaning behind youth sports is not to develop their kid to be a millionaire athlete who will one day take care of their parents. The real reason is to teach their kids the meaning of working together to achieve a common goal? Teaching kids on how to interact with one another. teaching kids that everything can't and will not go their way but if they work hard enough they will get better. Not just in sports but in life.

That's pretty close to summing it up! I'd also add that you have a lot of parents that are blind to what a kid needs. We have kids that have still not been taught a lot of the fundy's of baseball. Fielding, hitting, baserunning, etc. Most kids don't know what a hitters count is. I don't think they are too young to start thinking about that either, but you need parents that are willing to allow their kids to take a step back in order to take two or three steps forward. I've already got every kid on the team hitting the ball with power, not homerun power, but LD power. Hit the ball hard and good things happen.

I think I told you but I've got a big kid on my team. 6'1 and 185 lbs big! The kid can probably hit the ball out of any park in the Majors. But he tries to hit everything out! I think that is from his parents. He drops his left shoulder and has a horrible uppercut when you don't constantly remind him to focus on keeping his front shoulder in and his back shoulder up. I don't know what else to do for him to realize that he is dropping. He extends at the right time, has good hip push and turn, fast hands, sees the ball well, what am I missing???

Totally agrre on the first paragraph.

Second paragraph. You aren't missing anything that I can see. Dude, you teach a kid fundy's all you want (and you absolutely should) but, if the kid doesn't listen or thinks his way is better, there is nothing more that you can do.
We can give these kids the know how, but there isn't a coach on this planet, never was, never will be, that can teach a kid about heart.

Broncoman13
03-31-2004, 09:04 PM
Not sure about his confidence either. I think he goes up afraid. Afraid of not hitting the ball to the fence or over the fence every time. He's so big that he's hit a couple off the top of his bat and they still go. Plus he tries to pull everything, maybe I should start emphasizing up the middle and going with a pitch?

Tell him he's making a fool of himself and if he keeps swinging for the fences he will be benched so the team can win.

I wish. That is Heather Mitts. Pat Burrell's old squeeze. She is going with AJ Feely now.
She was a pro soccer player of the Philadelphia Charge before the league folded. She is tops when it comes to female athlete's IMO. Jennie Finch is # 2 and Anna pulls in at #3.

I don't even want to venture a guess. I have a $30,000 insurance policy on all of it though.
I have 94 Bronco Jersey's as well that I really need to add to that policy. At least 40 of them are authentic.

The only drawback of Finch's for me is the fact that she is way to big for me. I'm only 5'8" 180 Lbs. I think shoe is like 6 foot something.

I like Hextall. He was the man for a while. Just had a problem with the soft goal later in his career. I also have no problem with Terry Murray. He said the ABSOLTE, 100% truth and got fired for it.
The one Flyer that I do have a problem with is Bob Clarke. Total assh*le!

Yes, shes 6 foot exactly, doesn't give weight because women just don't make that public.

She's #1, with one problem: Casey Daigle. Dude hasn't been able to cut it on the Arizona Diamonbacks rotation and yet he's engaged to her, doesn't make sense to me.

She wears #27, which ic cool because my fave Bronco ever also wore #27 Steve Atwarer, but thankfully I don't think of Atwarer everytime I see her play, and yes I actually watch womens softball when she's playing.

It's really me....About 5 years ago my brother in law got that picture for Christmas. He called to tell me that he got this really cool Bronco picture except my big fat head was blocking the view. Of course I had to go right down to the high dollar poster store and buy one for myself....Does that mean I'm famous?

Got a question for you guys and I hope that you don't take offense because I'm not bagging on your collections at all:

What's the deal with Mini helmets? I just don't see the attraction, honestly. If it was a normal sized helmet, I'd say, "man, that's friggin' cool!" But mini-helmets are just... so.... not. To me, anyway. I see a mini helmet and I think that somebody broke off the top of an NFL Pez dispenser or something...

thats a legit question NS. However, the mini's are much larger then the top of a pez despenser. I'm sure you've seen them.

Anyway, the reason I like the mini's are:

A) They are alot less money ($10 compared to $200)
B) They don't take up alot of room
C) I get the majority of my stuff signed while I'm there. I get the majority of those autographs at games. It is a pain in the arse to carry around a huge helmet to a game that the Broncos are on the road.

I do have a few full size helmets signed but I have a ton of mini's.

Yeah baby! :)

Here's a Bronco bowling set that I bought my brother for Christmas before he decided not to bowl anymore cuz of his wrist. All brand new. Never used. Holes aren't even drilled into the ball yet. I'm debating wheter to sell it or keep it for myself. Thing is I don't bowl much anymore. It's just so damn cool looking. :) . I paid about 150.00 for everything and would consider selling it for 100.00 even. If anyone's interested let me know. oops. I gotta resize it. I'll be back in a few.
