that home raiders game of 08 still gives me nightmares. how many bombs deep to marshall (being covered by nmandi mind you) did we try?

With Lovie on the hot seat and Caroll having a 2-3 year honeymoon... This was an easy choice.

They just reported - literally 10 minutes ago on Seattle TV - that Norm Chow wants to come with Carroll ???

Just so we know, who's bringing up this thread again? Ah, thats right, the same people that always do. Then when you chime in on the thread they tell you the issue is dead and to get over it.

Lame.

Last I checked, most "diehard" fans would be caught cheering for anyone or anything that isn't their team. Regular fans root for other teams/players.

Screw your dumb rules.

I watched all 16 Broncos games this year and didn't even see half of Cutler's games.

It's sort of like watching a guy play russian roulette with 3 bullets. Half the time, disaster. The other half, you're just relieved he's alive.

He's exciting. I'll give you that.

I agree. The playcalling in the 08 Raiders home game was as bad as calling a rush up the middle on short yardage for the 9th time when it has resulted in loss of yardage the previous 8 times.

Regardless of the bizarre need to hate him by some here....it speaks well for him as a coach if Carroll wants him as the OC in Seattle.

Actually we were throwing at Chris Johnson not Nnamdi on those plays. I don't remember us completing one of them either.

Boy, the Bears cleaned house of offensive coaches. I haven't realy kept up with this, but Turner is out, right? I heard one of them on the way out the door said Cutler "is a coach-killer." That seems to be true.

because Bronco LB52 wasn't included in the Broncos' fan base that cutler referred to as a "6" ... wonder how jay loves those "9" fans in chicago right now? :~ohyah!:

hmm.. I don't seem to recollect this? I remember that he got pissy and didn't want his HC and OC to quit. Then he didn't like a new young punk HC coming in and changing the system by trying to send his arse to NE for Matt freaking Cassel.

Cassel would have been an epic failure here for the kind of money KC game him.

Sadly, now I wish we had gotten Cassel. I think with the talent here and his familiarity in the system he would have been a better long term option.

Cassell actually has some talent. I wouldn't have minded seeing him here. I got real tired of Cutler's act in 2008 long before he got traded.

Orton had a far better season than Cassel, but don't let little things like "facts" get in the way of your ranting.

Agreed, but it doesn't have to be that overtly risky. The guy is not an idiot despite what the haters like to claim. However, I think he and Bates are a very BAD mix. Ironically, I think McD and him would be a good mix because he would have taught Cutler how to manage a game. I think Kubiak would have been an ideal coach, just look at how he was able to transform a far less dedicated Plummer. Cutler does not realize it, but he got very lucky that Bates went elsewhere.

That being said, I think Bates could excel in Seattle since their QB is far more mature and could flourish with a wilder offense.

+1. Although I'm glad we didn't pay what apparently McD was willing to pay (although we didn't get much for next yr's first). Plus his salary is just absolutely absurd, but he would have been a decent mix with McD and Denver's talent. At least a better fit than Orton.

yeah because you have scary ability to evaluate talent...weren't you stumping for Doresy back in the day? And the other Miami QB, well pretty much every Miami QB?
